Knew Bill in the early seventies when he used to play and sing along with the regulars at the Pendre Inn, Cilgerran in Wales. Many happy Sunday evenings! Brilliant music Bill!

There always is a time to rock the rockers classically.. they beat the beat, rock their joy of rock.. classicisists sense the sense knit the neat.. rock it out precisely in the so very much of the sounds of many silences. Always kind even in the grotesque modes.. A good work a good performace..God bless.

Hi Bill, I finally got to download the video of your concerto for violin and guitar, as I am mostly at sea nowadays, and the Internet facilities are not great. I congratulate you on writing such a beautiful and original piece of music. I have done a bit of a personal review and analysis of the piece. Here it is. In the first movement I can hear influences by Rodrigo, Castelnuovo Tedesco, Piazzolla, Lauro and some touches of the brazilian choro and bossanova. It keeps the interest of the listener at all times. Great tempo, rhythm and dynamic changes. Love the ending of this movement, full of passion, aggressiveness and very Piazzollesque. On the second movement, love the introduction full of beautiful harmony and polyphony. Very baroque in places. It sounds very cinematic also. When the guitar comes in I can hear the sounds of my native country, Venezuela. There's definitely inspiration from works by Lauro. Once the violin joins it turns into a tango feel. Further up comes Venezuelan music inspiration in the guitar. Then a hungarian rhapsody when the guitar and violin are together. Nice ending chord on the guitar, when the violin is doing the harmonics. On the third movement the guitar rhythm, sounds and harmony is a mix of South American music influences in general, especially from Brazil and Venezuela, however, when the violin comes in, it turns very Argentinian with a strong Piazzolla flavour. Nice chromaticism. Beautiful quote from the original, opening theme in the first movement on the violin. Nice and minimalistic question and answer between violin and guitar. Gorgeous ending. Great link between the opening and the ending of the piece. It flows really well. Beautiful conclusion. The piece in general is very programmatic, descriptive and cinematic. It's almost like a soundtrack. The interpretation is phenomenal. Great performers and excellent orchestra. Thanks for sharing your art with us. Un gran abrazo sudamericano (a big South American hug), Saludos, Edgar Macías

What? Applauding between the movements? Was this a classical audience? Interesting work.
