Finally got to hear this song live, and meet you, on this NFG tour you went on. I was the guy that got busted in the eye in that mosh pit, at Cat's Cradle. I didn't get to say this, but I love the new direction you're taking with your music! It's so peaceful, I can just get lost in it. And as always, the lyrics truly make me think. Thank you for the new music, and keep going! You've really found your sound!

Before Bret adopted me my last name was Geyer. Geyer literally means vulture or crow. It is on our family crest.. How are the rehabs in Florida?? Needing to get out of Alabama and this situation. Lmk if you know anyone who could help. Thanks for your music Ryan. Sometimes it is music that was the way God spoke to me.. telling me to sit still.. this time its speak up.. but none the less.. He has used your music to speak in my life since I was 15. And that's always relevant.. hit me up if you can suggest a place that I could go with my unfortunate situation.

This song is very good for sure one of his better solo songs. To be completely honest I’m not a big fan of his solo stuff. From a production standpoint the quality is top notch I just feel that he could use a good producer to push him harder to make the songs stronger. It sounds like he’s making the songs completely by himself from writing, engineering and mastering which is cool but no matter how good u are having that good producer that can be super objective and really push you really can bring out the best in a musician it’s not even that the producer is gonna write the songs for him it’s just making the musician really pull out the best in themselves. Again don’t get me wrong the quality is great they have that polished perfectly played sound I just feel that the songs could be stronger if he had the help of a good producer to make the songs have more tension and not feel like it’s one guy writing getting his way making the songs kinda too tame they just don’t have that emotion that I know he’s very well capable of. Before people leave me negative comments Yeah I know I’m a nobody I didn’t have a big successful music career like he did I’m just a local musician that has tons of studio experience and a good ear for music. Im not bashing him im not saying his solo stuff is trash im just simply saying I know it could be better and any real musicians would read this and know EXACTLY what I am talking about how a good producer would benefit him he is fully capable of making an album with a single that’s too 40 worthy.

Are these songs spiritually inspired.. Going back and lsitening to YC, I sometimes view the lyrica in spiritual light as well.. Wonderinf if that was just my view... Or was it done purposefully.

Ok well all this shows is that Ryan is a genius song writer but unfortionately without his band it’s not as interesting! Distorted guitars fast drums and a violin to compliment and harmonize and counter melody his beautiful melodies it’s just missing a lot! Damn. This could of been one bad ass fucking Yellowcard song! #yellowcardforlife

It could be worse, but I'm really not enjoying this new sound. I think it was a poor decision to disband a legendary band for this passion project.
