Thank you so much. I learned more in this than the four hours of watching/reading along with the play.

I’ve seen some comments saying that this didn’t go into much detail, it obviously won’t it’s condensed a whole play into a near 8 minute video. It’s meant to be a summery that talks about some of the basic things you need to know. It’s a starting point meaning you should watch other videos to give you a more advanced thought on the play if needed. I thought this video was good for general knowledge and managed to say about the plot in a short time span.

I find it very interesting how you relate to people's feelings then and now.

I think you have a typo on the slide at about 2:40. "He wants to marry the daughter of Elizabeth and Richard -- his niece". I think you meant Edward IV, not Richard. This really threw me. I had to look back at the whole family tree to confirm that there wasn't yet another random Richard tossed in there somewhere.

You may have just uploaded the powerpoint! What's the point. Please expand on these points. Why are these things important!?
What about the other characters? There are so many. Can you steer me towards a good KZbin video that’s explains the cast? I’m auditioning for this play in a week, and I want to know what I’m dealing with,

It is just wrong to distinguish between "happy and sad ending", the endings of his comedies are at best bittersweet but never happy

''A midsummer night's dream'' is a Shakespearean comedy which does indeed have a happy ending
@wloull10544 жыл бұрын
@@sleepyowl2284 Thats too easy. It's a comedy due to other aspects (like quick language was used as a rethorical strategy, the fortunes of men are middle-class, the beginning is troubled, the end tranquil; the kind of life is shown that is to be looked after.the story is always fictitious), but shakespeare's apparent happy endings suggest that even what is conventionally perceived as 'happy ending' bears difficulties and problems in it (like people who do not belong together end up married, which satisfies the audience, but the question arises, is it satisfyinf for the characters?)

You say he became King until one on Edwards sons is old enough. Shouldn't that be Lord Protector, not King?

Richard was disabled. As a disabled person myself, i find the word “deformed” very rude, so you might change the wording :) but great video over all

Feelings are what Shakespear is all about. Not totally. I would love to take a lesson but I am totally booked. I spend a winter with him at our cabin but only recently begun to understand him, and that is only through Hamlet and King Lear. Your offer is emotional, unfortunately, the IRS isn't.

I think it's important to state that the real Richard III was far less a douche bag of a man ... as a matter of fact, there is no evidence of him doing any of this
