It's doesn't fit the current narrative that says "white man bad". Even though slavery was an ancient, world wide trade, only white man is bad. They also fail to say that white men fought and died to end the world wide practice.

We survived 2020! We muddled through! Through many toils, dangers and snares we have come through and we welcome 2021 with fear and trepidation. Hello 2021…nice to meet you. Twas Grace that brought us safely thus far…and Grace will lead us into the New Year! I pray that we can begin to heal our nations wounds as we enter 2021 for we were once lost but now are found, were blind but now see. “Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear, and Grace my fears relieved.” Happy New Year! ¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

A hero of undaunted faith who over two decades toppled the slave trade in all of the Empire. His years of friendship with the preacher, hymn writer John Newton proved to be of inestimable value, understanding and strength in the fight, in Parliament and out.

They really missed the mark while telling the history of Newton. John Newton was himself a slave on an island off the coast of Sierra Leone.

Great movie. I found it very inspiring. So inspiring I've been playing my little part - as are others on KZbin and through other platforms - in fighting these elitist perverts who run the world. It looks like child slavery in all its deviant forms still goes on. We are Wilberforce.

Lincoln offered to preserve the slavery where it existed via constitutional amendment is exchange for preserving the tariff revenue from the southern states. Lincoln used the slavery issue to keep France and England out of the war. He was a typical politician. Pitt and Wilberforce were principled abolitionists.

Out in the field, the cook asks Wilburforce, “Did you find God?” Wilburforce replies, “No, I think He found me…. Do you have ANY idea how inconvenient that is?” Hahaha! Yep! That’s GRACE, and it’s painful when you realize what a wretched sinner you are! At that moment, Wilburforce was Born Again, meaning Born From Above, Born of the Spirit, the moment of a true conversion! “For it is by GRACE that you have been saved, through faith, and that is not of yourselves, but a GIFT FROM GOD.” See 3-part sermon series…. SALVATION IS NOT A PRAYER. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. This pastor explains conversion so well. I don’t know him, but I’ve watched it countless times in the past 10 years. Pretty sure he’s an Independent Baptist, a KJV Onlyist, and an H & D preacher, and I don’t adhere to those particular doctrinal stances since I’m a Reformed Baptist. Still an excellent sermon. And he understands Lordship Salvation, which he also explains. I got it too, immediately upon my conversion. >
