Just finished watching season 11. You were like the others until you got the relationship with little Sassy - the others would see the Marten as nothing but an inconvenience, but you had respect for it, you named it and talked with it. Then you were so incredibly resilient in adversity, I really got a lot of inspiration from watching you deal with things. Watching Alone is like watching a bunch of people go into the wilderness and pull a whole lot of things from inside themselves - house designs and trap strategies and mental toughness, over and over again. I appreciate what you showed us and I wish you and your family all the best with what you decide to do with the money.

When watching the show, it seemed to me that the only thing that would pull you from the game was an injury or lack of food. When I heard that you would be on Alone season 11, I knew you would be a favorite! I've been following your channel for years, and no question, you had to be a favorite! Even the pros recognized this! It tickled me when you showed up without a bow, which made sense! Your personality was a reminder of how adult in decision making you would be! @ Hi William, over the last year I have been telling my older brother he’s 83 about your channel and I have said to him I’m sure that you’re family is from Cornwall by your accent, he’s buying a iPad this week so I’ll get him to subscribe to your channel. If I got the right Afonwen it’s North Wales I’m living in the Rhondda Fach the Valleys of South Wales a third Generation Greengrocer I had to retire a few years early riddled with Arthritis and need two new Hips, Over the last two years I have been Fasting on and off to lose weight the longest I went was 26 days but I was having 3 cups of tea a day and a bit of apple cider vinegar and a half teaspoon of salt the salt really helps with cravings, I’ve managed to lose 44 kilos so my Doctor says but I think it’s more like 38 kilos, my Doctor can’t get over how much good Fasting has done for me Diabetes gone, Blood pressure just about normal, Heart working fine. I can appreciate how hard it must have been for you and others contestants without Salt, if you go in again think of taking Salt or boil down Sea Water to get it . Thanks for getting back to me if you send me your email I will send you a photo of my father with rabbits hanging out side of the Shop I think it is around 1938 to 1945.

Thank you very much, my grandmother use to use a eider down mattress, we use to love on it as kids. It wasn’t firm like todays mattress’s you sink down into it a bit and it warm you from the bottom and sides…

instead of worrying about losing 10% of your calories while kebabing bits of food over the coals (covered in ashes to slow-down the cooking) worry about GETTING 10x as much food, using netting made from the 2 person cotton rope hammock, Dice, boil and fry cambium in fish oil, on the shovel (handle removed) chew the cambium for the starches in it and spit out the fibers. They are too likely to lock up your guts if you swallow much of them. A fish only diet is likely to give you the trots, so a bit of cambium helps to counter that. swallow the fibers for this issue. Make a stake and log bait box that only a bear can access and 10m away, down wind, make your tree blind. 50 lbs of whole fish and 50 lbs of fish parts (boiled to extract the fat) will make a very attractive bait that bears can detect for miles. A 200 lb bear is 200,000 calories. enough food for you to lose no weight for 60 days, if all you do is hang-out in the shelter.
