Pfft, that's how I did it, probably half a dozen times, but it was with small, light transmissions from '80s and early '90s Civics and CRXs.

Big shoutout for Kevin, I am in the process of doing this job. I have done clutches before but it was many years ago but it's always a good idea to have heads up before starting so I watch this Hyundai i40 clutch change before starting which helps a lot. I used an adapted troll jack to take the weight of the box but Kevin manually handles it. I know I am getting on a bit and retired but Kevin must be a bloody strong boy to do what he does. Kevin you have my respect and bloody strong so thanks for the video it helped me a lot.

You're just such an inspiring gift to KZbin and its viewers. I nealry have all the tools together I've ordered online to tackle that pickup differential. From bearing separator to bearing and race driver sets to rotational in/lb torquemeter, even if it's the last thing I do, I'm gonna go down fixing something forgodsakes.

Great content mate. Professionalism is present all over the work you do. I would highly recommend a transmission jack for the heavier transmissions out there. The land Rover one seemed to give you a fight for it.

Absolut Great JOB. Chapeau. I worked 3 days(!). 5 hours every day then the clutch was replaced. Ford focus 1,6 Ti Wagon.

You are incredible. Not only are you efficient but you perform very safe work with all of those jack stands. Could use some mechanics like you in the states. The only one I know like this is Roadside Rescue in the midwest on KZbin.

I hate working on my own car let alone someone else's, and I certainly don't like doing it outside on the ground, on my back underneath the vehicle. I also hate doing house calls because you can be guaranteed that you'll be miles from your base and discover there's a critical part you need that you haven't got but you do have back at base. I take my hat off to you sir for being so keen to work in these conditions!

Hey Kevin Albert you are the clutch ninja being bang Bosh in and out before the kettle boils. You don't need a gym to keep fit lifting those gearboxes. I like the way you spray your tools also the way you took the trouble to pull all the gear out of the van to show everyone what you have to carry with you suprising what you need . My hats off to this guy for working by himself as anyone knows or at least to me the worst part of doing a clutch is reinstalling the gearbox getting that input shaft and pilot bearing to lineup while putting a bolt in to hold it onto the bell housing or engine

you deserve every penny you make ,,, and then some ,,, thats a hard slog , I used to do escorts and cortinas on the road side , one wheel on the kerb and one on the road and work in the gutter .... no way on gods earth id be at the newer front wheel drive stuff without a ramp ,,,, hats off to ya.

I personally recommend Williams to anyone who needs good masters. The work is done at a professional level with experience. Make an appointment with the Willians mechanic to do the repair work at home or at a workplace. A reliable person. Doing well. 👍 😎

Curious to know what you do on the occasions the job doesn't go smoothly. It must happen - when the captive nuts for the subframe bolts decide not to be captive any more for instance.

I have seen many of your videos and you truly are an amazing mechanic. For your own wellbeing could you not work out of a small workshop somewhere with a lift, you would still have as many customers. How you do this sort of work in the winter is beyond me.
