I had recently come to the Maldives and been on the island of Male and Hulumale, then taken a boat 45 minutes out to an island called Guraidhoo. I was staying in a guesthouse for 20 dollars per night called Coral heaven sunet view and spa. It was located right on the beach. You can do island hopping in the Maldives and speed boats take you out to all the island.

Hi, William if you want to try maldivian food, try "garudhiya (tune fish soup), baiy (white rice), and fihunu mas (grilled tuna)".. the waiters you see in most cafes and restaurants are indians and bangladeshis and what they suggest is not maldivian.. fried rice is not maldivian.. typically.. you want to go to a "hotaa".. a traditional maldivian diner.. there you will find maldivian food.

how you eat it is, mix fish soup with rice, squeeze a bit of lemon on it, and mix it with a bif of chili.. fihunu mas (grilled fish on the side).. thats what most people eat in islands.

also, visit Vilimale.. its just 5 minutes ferry ride from west side of Male.. the ferry terminal is called "vilimale ferry terminal".. the fare is 3.25 MVR... there's a ferry every 10 minutes to and from villimale.. the beach is also nice.. there;s dive center there look for "moodhu bulhaa dive center" they have very good ppl there

Check out 'Rasdhoo' island in the adjacent atoll. There is an extraordinary lagoon called 'Madivaru Finolhu' there which is great for snorkeling/turtule, Manta ray spotting. I recommend 'Holiday Garden Rasdhoo' hotel in that island. Enjoy! 🫡

Seems like u are in Maldives still , you are staying in the month of Ramadan ( dry fasting for 30 days) once in a Islamic calendar , you need to get to a local house when they breakfast (which is iftar in Arabic) . 🙂 during Ramadan very few people will do day activities like sports etc..and different atolls have different cultures , tradition and food specialties are different too

Dude, I'm going to Sweden! I'm on a Cruise stopping first in Gothenburg, then into the Baltic Sea to Gotland & then Stockholm overnight, Stopping in Germany, Norway & Denmark too, then off to Norway, Iceland & Scotland! Can't wait! Never seen Europe! Looks wonderful there in the Maldives!

I stayed in Maafushi island for a month. It was an amazing experience. Full day snorkelling for $50 half day for $25 I hope to take my family there. My intention is to spend my uk winters there in the future and come back to uk only outside of winter. If I can make enough money I hope to do this
