Let's keep it a buck. Black folks ain't waking up every day trying to complain about racism. They’d rather live in peace and make moves, but the reality is, ignoring racism lets the ones who use it as a weapon get a free pass. Similar to Slim and myself there are millions of successful Black people who overcame the intentional systemic obstacles put before them in America, but sadly there are millions more who succumb to the traps. It's a lot to ask of a human of any hue to wake up everyday and function productively within a governmental system that targets them for failure, and is hellbent on tainting their image around the world. That's not an excuse for not excelling, it's a reason. And let's talk about those immigrants out here adopting the oppressor's ways, turning on Black people. If it wasn’t for the struggles, the sacrifices, and the fight that Black people put in to get this country to where it is, they wouldn’t even have the shot at the so-called American Dream. They'd still be stuck in their home countries, dealing with their own nightmare. But now, they come here and act like they don’t owe anything to the ones who made it possible for them to be here in the first place. At the very least they owe respect. It was the Civil Rights Movement in the US, not their country, fought by Black Americans that afforded them the opportunity for a better life for them and their family. Nah, it’s time for everybody to check themselves, especially those who are living the good life via generational wealth that originated with slavery, and the rest of them who forgot how they got a foot in the door. This ain't about sympathy. it's about accountability.

When we were in the process of buying our home here in Beaumont, TX, planning to move here from Fort Worth, there was an underwriter with 1 mortgage company (Movement Mortgage) who did everything to stop us from buying this land/home. Sadly, we were a returning customer with them. We had purchased our first home with them with no problem, but this 1 lady was just horrible! So, we wound up going with another mortgage company altogether. It'll be 2 years May 2025 that we've been here and we enjoy the land every morning & evening we sit out to watch sun rise or set...and we say to each other....this is why that heifer was trying to block us!
