If America had tv this great (as the BBC/England), Maybe we would have had our own version of the "British Invasion".....these clips ARE the REASON the Rolling Stones, The Beatles ever came along. Shame on the USA for being so ignorant, segregated, and not realizing the diamonds in its own back yard. Hats off to England and Europe for giving these artists the respect they always deserved

Love the way T-Bone has the guitar slung over his shoulder in the intro sequence - looks just super cool. T-Bone is the incarnation elegance - both in his playing and his appearance.

What makes me in awe of these great, great artist is their influence. These are the fathers of modern music. They will never get the credit they deserve but when you think about it the music of today would so different without them.

The American Folk Blues Festival was a music festival that toured Europe as an annual event for several years beginning in 1962. It introduced audiences in Europe, including the UK, to leading blues performers of the day such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson, most of whom had never previously performed outside the US. The tours attracted substantial media coverage, including TV shows, and contributed to the growth of the audience for blues music in Europe.

Heaviest cats I ever done seen on one stage, ever! Overworn cliche, but only too true in this instance, that it REALLY don’t get better than this. From catfish fry to Carnegie Hall, ain’t nothin’ gonna warm those seats better than presently shown. Thanks for the marvelous post...Good sound and camera, excellent post, credit roll is interesting.
