Willie Nelson and the Boys (Willie's Stash, Vol. 2)
Buy/Listen - WillieNelson.lnk.to/WTB_V2!becir
Willie Nelson plays a vital role in post-rock & roll country music. Texas-born Nelson is an icon of the ’70s outlaw-country movement, favoring a stripped-down style that could both evoke desert-highway vistas (“On the Road Again”) and initiate the most intimate of conversations (“Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”). He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the genre, whether that was Merle Haggard or Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash & Kris Kristofferson in The Highwaymen and written some of Country Music’s most popular songs including ‘Crazy’ made famous by Patsy Cline. In the 21st century, Nelson’s outlaw ethos has continued to manifest itself in all sorts of surprising ways: He’s become America’s most visible pro-marijuana activist and Snoop Dogg’s unlikeliest duet partner.
About the album:
Following in the musical footsteps of 2014's 'December Day,' the first volume in the Willie's Stash series (featuring Willie's Sister Bobbie), 'Willie Nelson and the Boys' is another family collaboration, this time showcasing Willie and sons, Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson, performing a selection of American country music standards and classics, including seven penned by Hank Williams Sr.

Hearing Willie say, "Sing it" reminded of my Dad. When we play together Dad will say, " Sing it" in that same tone of voice. When I am dragging, Dad will say, "get out from behind the plow, Jo". Nothing better than playing music with my Dad!

What a pleasure to see all three Nelsons singing and playing lovely music together. The background information about Lukas as a ,10 year old asking his dad what he wanted for his birthday. Willie, of course encouraging his sons to play guitar.....really touching. And of course Lukas wanting to make his father happy, took it on. My son is a great guitarist and remember buying him his first guitar when he was 14/15 and between a few lessons and his own practice and determination, my son, now 32 plays the guitar like it was part of him. I never tire of listening to him and I am always first at family get togethers to ask him to play. Watching Willie and his two talented sons harmonising, just magic.

Who doesn't love Willie. One of the few that you never hear bad of. His love for his sons and theirs for him in the celebrity atmosphere is so rare, so inspiring. You can see the respect and loyalty between them. It touches my ❤️, makes my eyes tear, goose bumps and all. It's going to be a sad day when he leaves us, the only celebrity that has felt like family to me and will cause my heart to ache. I hope it's still many years away. And I would never have thought your voice is inherited, but lo and behold it must be. It's like hearing Willie at three ages singing at the same time. I've never heard anything like it. Amazing men, amazing family, amazing sound.

I have loved this song since I was 12, (now 26) and has been my favorite song ever since, I have been called an old soul quite often but I am not ashamed to say that this is my favorite song, a week ago I bought tickets to see Willie Nelson at the greek theatre on the 24th of April, which has been a bucket list object since I was 16, I wanted to experience him live, even if I had to travel to the US to do so. Now that I have the tickets to see him live if he plays this song I will probably cry, and I will do so without shame, because this song is truly a masterpiece worthy of tears.

I love Willie. I'm glad to see him working with his boys like this. I developed a love for singing from my father, and I look at Willie, Waylon, Johnny Cash, and both Hank Sr. and Jr. for guidance in my singing, as well as Waylon and Willie because those are the four that I tend to sing when I do sing. I had the pleasure and opportunity to work for Johnny Cas's nephew, Captain Roy Cash, USN when I was in the Navy. God Bless all these men and thank you for giving me these songs to sing because I likely wouldn't have come out of my shell without them. I'm not a pro by any means, but I still love to sing and perhaps my wife will actually convince this old man (56) to finally post one of the videos I have made on here.

@Willie Nelson official fan inbox From ever since I can remember. What most people don't know, but I do, is that you were a song writer long before you became a known singer. with songs like hello walls and the Patsy Cline hit Crazy. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Charlie Daniels one year when he played a festival in West Virginia, and it would be a great pleasure if I and my wife were ever able to meet you. If you tour again and come anywhere close to Riverside California you can bet my wife and I will be there, wherever it is. My mom, rest her soul, was also a big fan of yours and her favorite song was Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. She just loved the way you sang that song.

When I was 9 my mom got me my dad and herself front row tickets to willie. My dad made a sign that said play this song and willie saw it turned to the band and said go head take a minute. Told the lighting people to give him a spotlight and it was just him and trigger. That was the first time id ever seen my dad shed a tear. Something about that song that guitar that voice that locks you in the crowd of a thousand people didnt make a peep nobody singing along nobody screaming i love you just staring.

On a long car ride in the hills, I asked my maternal grandparents what songs were their favorites. "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain" was their reply. I hear it now and can't stop from getting all misty. Beautiful.

This absolutely is one of the most beautiful things I've seen and heard. I grew up listening to Willie (Waylon, Cash, etc) with my daddy and I never grow tired of hearing him. There is something so sweet, so moving and so memorable about witnessing you boys singing this song with Willie. I loved the story of him wanting you to play guitar and your voice was perfect!! Of course it would be, you were born and bred by a Legend. I loved it!! Made me so happy to see that it brought me to tears. Thank you for keeping his music alive and sharing his passion!!!

In the twilight glow I see Blue eyes cryin' in the rain When we kissed goodbye and parted I knew we'd never meet again Love is like a dyin' ember Only memories remain Through the ages I'll remember Blue eyes cryin' in the rain Some day when we meet up yonder We'll stroll hand in hand again In a land that knows no partin' Blue eyes cryin' in the rain Blue eyes cryin' in the rain Blue eyes cryin' in the rain
