Pretty damn impressive here. It’s tough to play in the style of anyone other than yourself, but Willie is just completely off the radar. I can actually imagine him playing that exact solo on a tune. Well done, brother!

Willie doesn’t do or play things the same way twice or in specific timing as well. I find that showing some general licks and very generalistic styling of his playing is about the bed anybody can do to try and capture his style. He also incorporates a lot of Jazz techniques and augmented chords in transitions from chord to chord
@robertlee80426 ай бұрын
Willie invented that sound. He goes down a lot and his tempo is utterly erratic! Because he’s following his singing.

Intro sounds nothing like WN. The syncopation is wrong, there’s no sweep picking, no harmonics or glissandos, no exaggerated bass line walks, and it is being played on a steel string. 5/10.

Everything he said was fine. He isn't teaching a songwriting class. He gives you ideas how Willie built something like the solo on blue eyes crying in the rain. He didn't do anything complicated in most of his playing. According to Willie less is more when it comes to guitar solos. Willie has perfect pitch and a lifetime of musical knowledge and experience. tabs? 😅
