This is a lesson from my Classic Country Strumming Course countryguitaronline.com/classic-country-and-bluegrass-strumming-patterns-course-outline/ Hope y'all like it! This is one of the more basic country strumming patterns, and we get more complex with the strumming and fills later in the course. Would love to have your support over in the Gold Pick Member area of my lesson site CGO! Have a great week - Devin

This was the first song I heard Willie sing and play on trigger in 1974 and I've tried to play his style but he never plays the same way!

Gotta pick close to the bridge and make the strings buzz 😂. I’m serious too. The string buzz is part of the sound.

I'm 36 and just got turned on to Willie. My whole adult, guitar playing life I thought he was kind of silly. Then one night, after several Coors beers, I decided to throw on some Willie and strum along. Totally changed my perspective on Wille Nelson's style and music. Now I copy his style 😎

I’m 38 but Willie has been cool since I was a kid lol 😂. This guy says don’t pick to hard because of buzzing but to sound like willie you need some string buzz. The string buzz is part of willies sound. His guitar was designed for nylon strings but willie strung it with steel strings anyway. It buzzes a lot. But when you hear that guitar their is no mistaking who’s it is. His guitar became its own star ⭐️ in the red headed stranger album
