It's a fine album, I first saw it as an advert for a new album way back in a music paper when I was a lad of just fifteen,, I'd never heard of Zappa before that, but I just knew I was going to love it, I eventually bought the album without even listening to it first, got it home, and played it, and boy I wasn't wrong, I loved it, and to my young ears it was something very different and quite unique. It's such a busy album. and all these years later I still haven't tired of listening to it.

Take one part electric violin, one part Beefheart's gravel voice, one part excellent percussion, one part sexy lyrics, one part Zappa's wildly beautiful guitar, and one 16 year old farm girl, mix, and SHIT! A love affair for the ages...still love this tune 50 years later. Zappa was a genius.

ive got this on lp uk original & us original & this has got quite a few overdubs & remixing.in other words the original recordings shit all over this version like they did redo the drums on the second or third pressing.but i always like the first mix i heard.im a guitarist & a dam good one so i tell it like it is get a record deck people if you wanna hear everything analogue vinyl is the place your hear it all.but these new digital vinyl reissue,s sony universal & emi keep pushing on us you KEEP IT.all they do is compress it to death remove huge chunks of musicianship get some tosser to remix it & call it superior.but analogue will rise up again hell it never went away cause if you go clubbing guess what dj,s are playing the original records not these lame reissues.now i dont wanna ruin this post with negativity but what i find alarming is the original records are getting blocked & replaced with inferior reissues that are POINTLESSLY identical to their lame inferior mp3/sacd version.so yeah your reading this right the bass output is severely reduced the separation & warmth is restricted.as a musician ill bet my life sacd cant recreate a full sound spectrum all these labels are lying because mp3 is what they want you all buying instead because they make so much more money from it.now a quality record cost £8 to £12 to make £15 if you use the best quality vinyl out there but few do.now compare that to 10 pence for a standard cd also you can buy blank sacd,s for £1 each.now hard fact,s the industry sold cd,s in the uk & europe for £9.99 or more even £14.99 for some imports.even though they were $5 or £2.50 in the US for decades the labels kept the price up in europe & the uk to maximise profit.now move forward to sacd i just looked at a 2 sacd set available for £40 brand new.now that is £38 pure profit on one sale maybe more but they make £40 from mp3 & never need to make a new master.so basically the suits have now decided to make vinyl reissues a pointless carbon copy of the mp3/sacd but in doing so have clearly betrayed musical history for greed.because the fact is EVERY original release is far sonically superior & they have removed huge parts of original recordings purely to hide the inferior sound spectrum.because dig this on an analogue recording the engineer creates a sound blend of totally separate sound levels all with different volumes, so parts of the recording is quieter deliberately to create the right blend.but digital tech only captures the loudest parts so they remove any part that is not loud.also they remove huge parts of metal percussion because when digitalized 2 or 3 pieces of metal percussion at the same time sound totally saturated & really bad so they hide that by removing it.but they cant hide the lack of bass output no its as clear as glass.so like i said dont believe these greedy suits they care only about profit trust your ears not a suit GET A RECORD DECK....
