I use mine everyday at school. Also when I have to configure something over wifi I just configure a bridge and can work from my phone. Super awesome.

These things probably get hidden a lot in schools and offices because they can be placed under these roofs or inside these LED lamps which also can work as reflector.

Use Winbox - All MicroTik devices run Router OS. I Love the MAP with 8-57V POE In and Out. hope they do a Dual Band ver soon. SOLAR direct and add 4 18650's.

He is really very small. When I opened the box and pulled out the power supply, my impression was: "there is no router!"

Not for that price no I can see this being a super handy device to use in small deployments in small office.

Did you solve POE powering? Wasn't crossover (mode B) cable needed?

These would work perfectly in my situation but I can not get them to work. The issue is that it WANTS to be a dhcp server. I don't need it to be a DHCP server. I need it to be an AP. I already have an DHCP server. If I turn off the DHCP server it does not work. These things are WAY to complicated. WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY to complicated. I understand power, but if I just need a simple AP shouldn't that be an option?

They'are a bit complicated but once you get hang of it it's extremely flexible

@@minecameraPL I did finally get them to work. Very power software. I configured 10 of them via script super easy (once you figure it out). Unfortunately I found that I could not power these off a PoE switch only with a PoE injector. They do not draw enough power for a PoE switch to recognize that anything is connected. I hope MikroTik releases a 5ghz version soon.

Still can be better for network capacity. You could hide these things inside lamps in schools or behind tables in hotels. For these uses, it may actually be better to have a 100 Mbps router in every room instead of a Gbps router for 20 rooms.
