Saw Willie play Whiskey River 3 times in one show at a small NYC club called Tramps around 1997 or so. One of the best shows ever. God bless you Willie!

I was at this performance, as well as many many others. He always opened every performance with Whiskey River, and the ride began. Love him, love Trigger. One of my favorite Instances of his unique guitar sound is in The movie, Honeysuckle Rose. When he’s first offstage while Dyan Cannon is onstage. The guitar coming in is unmistakable and could be no one else but Willie.

Went to Willie's 4th of July picnic in Gonzales, Tx. Once we got in and parked, found a place close to the stage on a little rise, we were able to see everything clearly. Great music!! Leon Russell singing hymns at daybreak on Sunday morning. Epic!! I crushed on Willie from the first time I saw him perform in Ft Worth, TX in 1974. I've seen him many times since. Never stopped enjoying his music ❤

I remember getting my dad tickets for his birthday 20 years ago...he was still playing that guitar with the hole in it. He played for 3 freakin hours and I had never seen my dad happier. My dad also looked just like Willie. After the show, Willie came off the stage and shook every persons hand at the venue. It was a great show.
