Willies Mchunu | Former KZN premier resigns from ANC citing concerns about party's trajectory

Former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Willies Mchunu has officially resigned from the ANC, citing internal tensions and criticism regarding his views on the potential formation of a Government of National Unity following the May 29th elections.
In his statement to the Ward 33 branch secretary in eThekwini, Mchunu expressed concern over the backlash he received for voicing his opinions on party matters.
He concluded that, after assessing the current political trajectory of the ANC, he believes he is no longer contributing positively to the party's future.
