On the eve of a year without Gregg Allman here on our earth with us. I bow my head in honor of a friend, a family and band that have warmed my soul for decades before and I pray for decades to come......My heart and soul will sit at Rose Hill on guard tonight and for a few days for my friend, and all friends I have lost in the crazy music business. Oh, Gregg. How we miss you. Gosh, we miss you, Brother. 🙏❤️🎸 Youve been a huge part of my life, ever since the day I was born. My daddy ensured that when he gave me the middle name Duane, after his favorite guitar player of all-time, Howard Duane Allman. I've listened to ABB all of my life, from before I was ever born. And it shows. Today, I play guitar because of Duane Allman. Solely because of Duane Allman. That's how amazing Duane was. He's still inspiring people to learn to play guitar almost 50 years after his death. Gosh, we miss you, too, Duane. If only... ABB would've been the greatest rock band of all-time had Duane not been taken from us so soon. I mean, yea...me and many others already believe they're the best there's ever been. But I believe that, had Duane made it this long, many many others would agree that ABB is the best there's ever been. And not just us ABB lovers.

It's music. I put it in to HEAR it. Not to worry about looking at the people playing the instruments. Duane always said they, werent one of those bands that put on a big show on stage. That's why they usually came out in jeans & t-shirts & stuff. When you went to an ABB concert, you went to LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. You didn't go to look at them. They ain't the Rolling Stones or Kiss. So, do like Duane said...sit back, close your eyes, and let the music take over. You don't need to see them to enjoy their music. Never have. Never will.

wonderful song and perfect choice for gregg to sing. BUT did they use autotune or whatever on these songs? Gregg's voice doesn't sound natural. Think I'm used to his voicei good or bad after 40 years; why change it now? As for this video, who's the star: the mike stand?
@MrMusicguyma5 жыл бұрын
No offense meant, but this a very pedestrian video. Gregg is in good voice, but is clearly overdubbing a vocal here, no feeling, or possible interaction with other musicians, since they have already been recorded. When overdubbing became possible, it got rid of microphone "bleed". But overdubbing is a double-edged sword. Prior to overdubbing, any mistake by one musician would require that all of them had to record another take. But that concentrated the mind and the spirit. This is the opposite of live music. This video is like watching paint dry, IMHO.
