18:35 you just came across someone's quest tool box for the treasure hunt. It is not your quest, so it will not open for you. I had this just outside of outpost one day as well. I have learned to make my garage a wall and a half high, It makes getting around it so much easier. I like to use the v8 engine and the 4 cylinder with the cargo box on the back to keep my loot safe.

nice and chillaxed vid again :) one addition; cars "need" power to stay healthy over night. easily solved with a blocker powered by an HBHF sensor, that is the safest. ads 3 or 4 power usage. but raiders dont steel cars anyway. maybe destroy/grief :) early on I usually just leave them powered. also; earlygame.. the storage modules for cars.. abs. OP as solo. keep it up!

You can use the car lift to repair the different modules on the car and its much cheaper. also you can loot boxes out of the cockpit by pulling up close enough and opening the little window. super awesome for farming the roads in a hurry

Also cool things to use with car and garage are RF transmitter, RF receiver , door controller and timer. You can remotely open garage door with transmitter while sitting in passenger seat of your car, and safely drive in :)

I am feeling extra grateful because on Christmas Eve my apartment flooded leaving 2 dogs and 2 rabbits stranded with water rising quickly While we were away at my aunts. We lost all our possessions including many of the gifts my girlfriend and I bought for one Another, but Getting a call from a police officer saying they extracted the animals safely from the balcony was the best Christmas present I could have asked for. I just want all of you to know how much more it means to count the loved ones around you over the presents under the tree. They patched it only cooking from one slot after the first week of the new furnaces being out so its still faster to split it over both spots. Wasnt sure if you hadnt realised they'd patched it or not.

@@St0neByte when it's in 2 slots. The smelting speed is halved. Meaning you get (let's say) 2 frags every minute. One slot smelts a singular ore in 1 minute, since there are 2 slots you get 2 frags. If I put it in a singular slot, it smelts 1 ore every 30 seconds. Giving me 2 frags every minute. (And I replied to a guy, who claimed that "the smelting speed is halved when you put it in both slots") This is the reason your teachers fucking tell you to read the questions on tests, so numbnuts like you get the idea

Before I stumbled across your channel I watched Rust KZbinrs quite a bit. I saw Rust as a brutal, PVP, world that mainly consisted of combat, reality TV, downfalls, and windfalls. When I started watching you I realized that Rust can be quite relaxing and satisfying. The way you play the game, combined with your calm, inviting voice, quickly made you top two in my Rust watching routine, and changed the way I play the game. You and AIT are now the only two channels that I watch without fail. Posty is where I go when I want the dark side of Rust, and he is amazing. Love that fucking guy. All that said, it's been great to watch you and your channel grow. You provide a level of entertainment that is incredibly desirable and unique. Probably unintentionally, you have made something that me and a million other people desire. You should be proud of that, it's an amazing accomplishment. His servers, well, there's always things broken on them but they still just say, yeah but we've had 99% uptime. If he invests a little time into them and get some better staff, then I think they'd be fantastic

idk if you’ve thought of this already and decided against it, but what i like to do is attach a smart switch to the garage door so when i’m entering and exiting my garage i can close/open it from my phone on rust+ rather than risking dying to a door camper

you dont even need to do that, get a door controller and a heartbeat sensor above your garage entrance, power the sensor then connect to the controller, set the sensor to exclude others but include you. now when you drive up to it, the door opens, once you drive in, the door auto closes. easy and safe.

I love official rust. When I played rust I only played on high pop facepunch servers. There was something rewarding towards end of wipe when I had everything and survived. It's a brutal playthrough I recommend every who plays rust to suffer atleast once. Dark side of human nature truly comes out on these severs. lol

Hey Willy, just a quick tip from a long-time-car-lover. IMO its worth to invest the scrap into researching an RF Receiver, an RF Transmitter and a door controller. Place the door controllers on the garage-doors for the car, hook them up to the RF Receiver and take the Transmitter with you. Now you can just seat-hop, then "ping" the garagdoors so they open briefly, allowing you to enter your garage safely without exiting the vehicle. And if you die just turn off the power to the receiver until you change the code.

The building and survival and all that, the whole experience is wayyyyyy better than just the pvp aspect. So much better. This game isn't CoD, they need to stick to what drew the crowds in the first place. A unique survival game.

Not only would I build that, but that's exactly how I add a garage to my bases. You can always pull the engine parts and the engine module off the car when not in use. It keeps raiders from being able to steal it by damaging the cab (since the cab has no engine on it's own), but also makes moving around in the garage a bit easier.

I've ran a lot of Jeeper Creeper (3 module car) wipes. The hardest part is getting the capability of having a truck. Tunnels is the most efficient for the setting up process and most sustainable as a solo. Found it funny you did what I did before finding efficient methods, hitting a metric ton of barrels but I used the ocean. Additionally it makes it way more fun through tunnels. Second note, a garage on your main base will always be your base's weakest point. Built garages on 3rd even 4th floors before on double bunkers and was still my base weakest point.

The best servers I've found are modded , Any X Any table, with PVE, PVP zones, events and raid bases/raidme, rapid shop restock/high shop caps, and weekend Purges. The PVE allows more build and playtime flexibility, the events provide unique items which encourage "roleplay" builds, the shop increase allows a better economy, and the PVP zones and purge provide gameplay flexibility, weekend Purges make sure more people can participate. The only issue is Pop. People seem to currently be sticking to the PVP heavy servers. Also it seems like no server has all of that, lol

Hey Will in case you do see this I've been doing taxi service on your NA server off and on the last few months and it's awesome to see you trying cars for a wipe. Just a thought if you do use them again going forward: you can make it in through a double door you just gotta not lose momentum as you go up the ramp, and a 2 square wide garage would make it a little easier to move around and give you space for a repair bench and extra drop boxes. Also smart switch + door controller and Rust+ will save you a lot of worry about door campers when entering and exiting the garage. Lastly you might consider getting a3 module chassis and finding an armored passenger module to go behind the cockpit. There's a bug rn where if you don't have an enclosed module behind you, ai can target and shoot you even inside the cockpit. Figured out last wipe that includes turrets if you pass a base that has them. Anyway loved the video and keep up the great work buddy. 👍
