Ranches have always been my preferred style of home. Open floor plan, first level primary bedroom, high/vaulted ceilings etc. You can always tell when people don't know anything about houses or they're just hating. Also let's be honest, a 6,000sqft. ranch is HUGE and depending on the area, ranches are can be more expensive than multi-levels because it's more expensive to build out than it is to build up and typically requires a larger, more expensive lot. At least that's been my experience in the two states that I own. As you said, my next crib doesn't need to be huge but it needs 4+ garage spots....actually probably something with a detached garage that can support a lift.

I refinanced to a 15 year when the rates were low. My only issue with that house is my wife would be complaining about not having a laundry room on each floor. Lol. I'm realizing with only having a huracan I need to hurry up and buy another super car to keep the millage down. And like I said, I've started studying for my real estate exam test. Moving forward. If the prices of homes in your market are going up keep it and rent it for a profit and watch your net worth grow. If the location is bad and long term appreciation looks weak maybe sell it unless you can make a good net profit each month off of it.
