8:11 this is so true! As a braider in a past life, I used to tell my clients this all the time and they would get such relief from this as their previous braiders were so heavy handed for the sake of “neatness”. This gained me a reputation for being gentle and I had people bringing their kids to get their hair braided as well as they were more able to tolerate it and not be suffering in pain. 🥰

about the face mask, if you were "rough" while washing or drying your face before hand or used any kind of exfoliant it's gonna burn like a perm 😭😶 ain't no way around it. the active ingredients gonna have a field day. if you're using one without or less active ingredients there's usually more wiggle room with the tinglies. worth a second shot but if it burns again - let it go in peace. hth! ❤
