See how I move from hauling gravel to change over to Iron ore from my Powder River operations.

Scott, Guy in Texas again. Sorry if I’m being too much of a pest. I’ve been a truck driver for 45 years and yes Roadway is a large freight company. They merged with Yellow Freight in the last ten years and now go by Yellow Roadway. The era you’re doing they would still be Roadway. Have a Blessed day young man

This is Guy Foster from Texas. A suggestion; if your gravel piles are glued down you could paint them in a similar color and glue a layer of iron ore over that. I didn’t expect to see you starting right away…lol….can’t wait to see how it turns out. Have a Blessed day Scott

Hello Guy. Yes that's exactly what I was thinking. Paint them up then a small layer of Iron ore. Should look great. Thank you for the info on the Roadway logo. Cheers!

How did you make the loader? I want a coal loader with live loads but can't find one in n scale.

Thanks for stopping by Shawn!. The loader is all made out of styrene (3mm) thick. It is basically a hopper with a styrene tube that pierces through the bottom of the hopper. The styrene tube has a spring from a ball point pen inside it and the spring is connected straight to a small electric motor behind the hopper. The part of the styrene tube that is exposed inside the hopper has a section on the top of the tube cut out so the Iron ore can fall into the tube and be pushed along by the spring(auger).

Let me know if this is helpful. I can try to post a diagram if I can.
