Willow episode 3, the one where I forgot the intro! Well, on the plus side I'm now caught up with the episodes, on the downside, this got worse! How many times can you write yourself into a corner and then just cut to another scene before coming back and the problem is solved? How many times can 2 characters talk to each other while not actually replying to the other one's previous line? Willow is jam packed with so many problems you'd think it was deliberate. But what did you think of the show from what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

The funny thing about the sword fight is - actually her size does not matter, as she has a sword, but she has no idea how to use it, and the guard too, as both fight like they have broomsticks instead. The most lethal part of the medieval sword is the point. In general it seems Hollywood does not know that.

More importantly, I'm sick of the constant promotion of homosexuality / LGBTQ. Two female lesbians who are of course great swords women who, despite weighing 7 stone can go toe to toe with men twice their weight. Two more lumberjack lesbians! Of course! The main cast essentially two lesbians and two non white males. Non white king is of course a wimp. Sleazy white male brother who gets himself kidnapped because he's obviously so incompetent. Disney please fcuk off.

Disperu really commented on a little girl running through the forest in the enemies shouldn't have a hard time capturing her, but remember this show is made by the same company that wrote Kenobi in which three adults couldn't capture a 10-year-old girl because she was too fast and branches would get in their way! Disperu is really suffering for us to be informed on how bad this show is and I thank him for it greatly!

I think it's a mixture. Some of this is the result of ideological extremism which can rob people of the ability to write enjoyable stories, but some of it is purposefully written to try and force an agenda, I would agree. Pretty sure most woke people have lost the "magic of movies" (or television shows) and are jaded about the process of making them. They pretty much feel powerless to write good stories so they just phone it in.

Hold the phone. That just made it click together. This episode comes off as the sort of session you'd read about on Reddit. The sorcerer refuses to use his spell slots because "I might need them later", even if you're about to do a long rest. He's obsessive about his wagon. He's rude and dismissive to everyone else in the party, and how much you wanna bet he's gonna start claiming all the loot? Are they cribbing directly from their D&D sessions, and "Willow" is just them roasting That One Guy in their party? Once this show is over, I'm going to write a short version of the plot, file off the -serial numbers- names from these characters, and see if it doesn't sound like something Den of the Drake would feature.

Chromium is a real element. It is used to make better steel or as plating. A breastplate made out of pure chromium is a remarkably stupid idea because while it is the hardest known pure metal it is also brittle af. When chrome plated metal gets dented the chromium plating will splinter off into shards. Do these writers know or resarch anything at all? Edit: Oh and depending on what type of chromium you use skin contact can also cause skin ulcers to develop. Perfect armor material really.

The thoroughly modern dress of the "humble woodswomen", combined with the singleton were-rat and Willow's "ohhhhhh, I can't do magic until it's really important", definitely causes one to wonder if one of the things the writers are failing to overcome is a middling budget.

Why is there SO MUCH modern clothing in this show? Willow's outfit in the flashback was modern denim, the lumberjack lady's hat is completely modern (they didn't even hide the rivits) on top of both of them wearing modern denim and flannel and such and it's just... at least in the original movie EVERYONE WAS WEARING "APPROPRIATE" CLOTHING that looked like it fit in the era / world. What is this!? I'm expecting to see someone wearing a modern silk-screened T-shirt at this rate!! I love how they couldn't even be bothered to film the scenes in the wood at the same time of day in similar weather. So when Ellora stumbles into their camp, all of a sudden the weather goes from misty and gloomy to bright and sunny. Which made the scene feel like some magical trap and those woodswomen like dangerous creatures in disguise perhaps, but nope. It was just the director being too lazy to bother to even try to control for the weather when planning the filming.

"Nockmaar" is the castle of the evil queen in the 1988 film. However, even though I have seen that film MANY times, all I knew was that the name was familiar; I had to look it up. It's odd they're using it as a big cliffhanger that is supposed to excite OG fans, when the rest of the show seems aimed at teens/new viewers. We saw a lot of that with RoP as well. Also- There've been various articles going around lately, including by the NY Times, noting that audiences have gotten tired of current films/shows, and the articles ponder why this is. Well, just look at things like Willow and RoP- we're tired that so much is sooooo badly written (and acted, in some cases), with the makers acting like there's something wrong with the audience for noticing!

People that know Willow will understand what or where Nockmar is, for those that don’t it’s where Queen Bavmorda lived, sorceressed, and met her demise. Originally the ritual was set up for the baby (it would have destroyed her soul never to reincarnate) but they nicked the baby and forced Bavmorda into the ritual. That’s what makes this ENTIRE plot to this show stupid. Ole Mordy’s soul was destroyed. But no one can write anything new. It has to be “well that person that died beforehand, yeah they didn’t really. And now THEY WILL HAVE POWER AGAIN!!!!!” So stupid

A "cuirass of pure chromium?" That would be useless. Chromium is brittle. It would crack or shatter when struck. It's useful in making alloys, but not terribly useful as a pure metal in anything that involves impact or flexing. Some writer apparently just thought "chromium" sounded cool. And, of course, they'll use the "but, magic" excuse to justify a silly explanation. Don't even start on the fact that the armor doesn't look anything like pure chromium, so they couldn't even be bothered to look up what chromium looks like.

@saldiven2009
@saldiven2009 Жыл бұрын
@@TroySavary True, but gold, diamond, and obsidian are interesting substances that are either rare/valuable (gold and diamond) or has significant historical significance (obsidian). Chromium is that stuff most people know as the thin shiny coating that gets put on cheap car rims to make them look shiny but always ends up peeling off. Out of curiosity, what would your opinion be of a gold cuirass that was purple? Or an obsidian sword that was white? This is supposedly a pure chromium cuirass, but it's kind of brownish. Chromium is bright silver. Making it the bright silver of actual chromium would have looked a lot cooler than the color they chose.
