Yup. If they fixed that crazy vac leak, the car would run pretty decent. Since the issue is for sure when they hit boost, its 100% that super audible leak lol. If its audible like that, you are loosing a pretty good amount of pressure. This will not only help boost, but also the idle, as idle is usually controlled via some sort of vac pressure as well.

The Intake manifold creates vacuum there is pressure in multiple points. For the wastegate you can hook it up to the Intake manifold the inter-cooler the piping or the turbo and get the needed vacuum. They never hooked up the vacuum lines. Its breaking up cause its running to much boost for the timing its seeing thus causing detonation. Very bad thing for a car.

do an epoxy cover over that floor. easier to clean up oil or other liquids. might cost you about 500 for that whole shop but it's worth it. I've got a white epoxy floor and it looks amazing. no more stains and easier to find dropped screws or anything on the floor.

#BACKTO0HORSEPOWERSOON anybody else curious about what the AFR was when they were bagging on the Miata. You guys should try running some ngk bkr7 plugs gapped at 32 to start and close the gap as you get spark blow out cuz you keep saying it only breaks up as it hits boost which in my mind seems like you're getting spark blowout because you're probably running a factory spark plug at factory Gap which is too big for forced induction. I got pretty stoked on how stoked will look though when he was finally driving it and it was running ok

Part throttle and boost is giving way to much timing and breaking up. Also tip in after shifts same thing. To much timing and boost cause detonation. When he gets it to WOT the timing goes down alittle so it runs better. It will always run like shit until it gets a tune unless he drives it like on and off all the time.
