One of the most powerful tools in any type of editing is your selective edits, or local adjustments! These are your Radial filter, Graduated Filter and Adjustment Brush. Proper use and application of these tools can make or break any image. Every program has their version and Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Mobile are no different.
With the new update, Lightroom Mobile received a major update that makes your local adjustments 1000% times easier. Instead of only having an adjustment brush, radial filter or graduated filter, you now have, in addition, sky select, subject select and the ability to make adjustments to specific colors or specific areas of light in the image. The color range mask and luminance range masks are game changers to Lightroom Mobile.
If that’s not enough, Lightroom also went from user-UNFRIENDLY to user-FRIENDLY. Before the update, local adjustments were a little harder to work with. Not with the new update it’s as simple as click, adjust, apply! Adobe made a huge change with this update!

brilliant video!!! do you know if its possible to apply a prest to a masked area? eg to select the sky in a mask and then a pply a preset JUST to the sky

Is it possible to auto brush mask in light room mobile? For instance if you brush a certain part of you photo and you want it to stay in the lines😀 any help would be much appreciated

@@tomward8620 that would be awesome and hopefully comes in future updates but as of right now it’s not a thing. I looked around and couldn’t find it myself. I’ll see if I can figure out a work around.

The reason why it sometimes stop recording is because the iPhone gets really hot. Even when not recording, the lightroom mobile app reduce a lot of heat when editing. Anyway this may be a year old video, but i never use the mask tool. This video really helped me out.

I mean, if you have Lightroom mobile, import the photo and follow the steps, then sure. No problem.

Can we apply presets we have on masking?

I’m not 100% sure what you mean but if you have presets with certain brushes and masks, it will only work on the general adjustments like radial filter, brush and graduated. The select subject won’t translate through because the subjects are generally different. You’ll have to apply them individually.

Thank you for the tips .. but I'm having issues saving after masking. Once i click the little mark at the button it goes back to the before the edit does not apply. Please can you help ?

I’m not sure I fully understand. You’re adding the mask and then clicking the check mark to save the mask and it’s not saving?

After updating to the latest adobe, I somehow dont seem to find my photos in the gallery as I used to. Also they dont show up in windows explorer... anyone with a fix? This is the legit version of Adobe Lightroom Mobile

Android. Everything works on the phone but when I shoot raw and try to transfer them to my PC... The Lightroom folder is empty

@@JustMartyKe if you’re using Lightroom cc and Lightroom mobile and logged in to the same Adobe cloud it should automatically sync. Might be a bug that you need to check with Adobe on
