They helped get me through a really rough time of my life and I was devastated to find that he passed only a few short months after me first getting to hear his music... I never knew that you could grieve someone that you had only just begun to know about, but music & creative works connect people like nothing else. RIP Siinamota, I still listen to Goodbye Everyone and Please Give Me A Red Pen when I need that reminder to keep going despite everything

RIP Siinamota ❤ I am very late to the party, as I only just found out about this song and this artist about a month ago after years of hearing this absolute bop randomly floating around the internet as background music... but that's just a sign of good art isn't it? Siinamota has left his mark on this world, and has immortalized himself in his work. This was on my home page and I clicked it off the thumbnail thinking it was the original song as I've found a lot of comfort in it recently. I won't pretend I knew the artist very much but to learn of their passing and to hear the beauty of their song leaves a longing in my heart, like I wish I'd known of them sooner to appreciate them. Just wanted to say that this specific cover snapped me out of a severe stim/anxiety attack today. I was stimming uncontrollably, crying, unable to speak without repeating words, but I remembered that thinking about your voice singing this helped keep me under control a bit so (with a bit of effort) I asked my friend to play it. I heard the first few notes, then your voice, and it brought me right back after letting me get a good cry out while singing along between sniffles and sobs, hehe. This cover basically got me through this entire day, from helping me focus on studying this morning in the train (I can't focus for NOTHING usually) to helping me through that little breakdown, to keeping me from depression on the way home along with your other covers. Heavily thought of this song a few months ago when I wanted to end it all. Felt like so many problems were stacked on my back it was all that occupied my mind. About my first relationship being built on codependence, about my myself being paranoid of having some form of disorder that may have gone unnoticed my whole life. My deep sense of loneliness despite having good friendships. About the deluded impression I had for my parents despite them doing anything but bad things. All has led me to lose interest in living on, gave me strong passive SI. The only coping mechanism I had was playing video games, to which I lost interest in that week. I only could've made an action if I wasn't the type to rarely leave the house. Went absent from school from wednesday until friday, when I was still attending, I made myself look concerningly gloomy, didn't even pay attention to class. I didn't think how worried my friends and family was at my sorry state. My mother tried to ask me what bothered me so much, I couldn't properly the serious questions, at that point, she cried. my hopelessness remained but I was insisted to go to school the following monday. Still gloomy at that time, but when my friend circle invited me for drinks, I didn't refuse them that time. Told them only one problem, but their response was enough to bring back the old me. The state of gloominess went away, yet I still ponder those problems until today. I'm still not truly satisfied with how things are going, went from thinking it is what it is, to some extent of nihilism and being antisocial. So I just became bitter, but I guess it's an improvement compared those past few months. I thought last schoolyear was the best of my schooldays. Seems like that time, things kept my spirits intact. Everything that happened, now remains as bitter memories. I've developed some habits that purposefully separates me from other people, not in an unhealthy way. As a form of protection, to avoid any chance of that happening again. To see what person I will be when I move schools, and upcoming decades overall. I just care that I could do enough to live and reach adulthood for a good amount of time.

One month has passed: Just had a sudden mood swing this afternoon, some of those withering beliefs came back to me as I didn't put effort in a graded task in school, made me believe how incompetent I am even now. I'm still a very emotionally vulnerable person, was always the sensitive kid. What hurts the most these days are the judgements I direct to myself. After seeing this comment again, I can just hope it can somehow comfort me, for the sake of not getting worse. I'm unable to force the tears out, yet sulking like this is way worse for my well-being. Unfortunately for my connections for certain "friends" at this point, became a little complicated. Resulting myself becoming obsessive, not in an active way. But made me ponder of sinister things. I forget to acknowledge how terrible those thoughts are, my morality is just based on how it involves me. I doubt that I'm a good person nowadays. I should just care about doing enough in life, making my problems grow back certainly won't improve. I hope to at least walk away from this starting line I'm severely stuck on.

I'll do it. I still have to find more people like that, and I know I will, so I want them to start off with the best version of me...hopefully. Keep going, keep your head up and trust me, it will get better for you. Keep trying and banging your head until fate runs out of bad things to give to you and then laugh at it...

@@ChimmneyMan You should sulk to your parents/friends as temporary therapy, you probably already know that but there are multiple reasons to keep going. Since you're still in school you have about 50+ years to go, by the end of the semester you could be in fine shape. If your parents know about your depression then the grades aka the problems that has been stacked onto you doesn't matter. In the end, grades are just a number/letter for your performance in the academic year and they don't actually matter. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem most people go through. Think about the good things in your life and spend more time with it, ending it all will only result in even more pain for all of the people around you and will waste your life that can still go on. No matter what solution you have at hand, it's always temporary and suicide is always permanent. You can also try to distract yourself from it like watching funny skits and just doing something you enjoy in general.

This song genuinely makes me sad for no reason, i have nothing to be sad about in my life, but this song just makes me feel a very strong amount of sadness for no apparent reason. I love this song with all of me with none the less though. Fly high siinamota.

This is great! I'm glad so many people are still honoring his memory, and that people are still being inspired by him. I think its great, having an english cover... maybe he would have been touched seeing his music gained traction in the west and that his audience reached very far.

the fact that "hated by life itself" was the first song that i heard and the meaning, makes this hit just a bit harder. the songs have different artists but it still has an impact i think.
