Another nice win Will, but maybe the Mengharini is not ideal with the Yugoslav type attack you played.opposite sides castling and then the pawn on a3 is already a hook, often these attacks come down to the first blow, a3 allows b4 to come with a threat rather than a threat of a threat. Not sure if that makes much sense to you, neither am I so sure it is right, certainly worth thinking about though. Thanks

I completely agree with this and I've thought about it before but I tend to feel like this small technical downside is made up for by the amount of times I get to play the b4 line after Nc6. I think a great player would punish this more precisely but I'm yet to lose a game where I felt like that was the specific reason, however, I do agree entirely with your point. Cheers Capa
