Also I feel that he can defeat ANY enemy no matter how powerful because wonka is a genius who just happens to prefer making candy more than anything. I can remember hearing the opening notes for the first time when i was in school, 8 years old and in second grade in 2008 .It immediately caught my attention and it had a warm, inviting feeling. I can remember seeing the screen of mixing chocolate slowly appearing into view and was in awe at the sight of even the logo. This movie became one of my favorite movies as a child and got very excited each time i got to watch the movie, always checking the TV guide each weekend hoping to see an upcoming airing on ABC Family or TCM. I hold Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory near and dear to me, bringing back a wave of nostalgia and takes me back to the second grade watching for the first time each time i watch. The end credits version of Pure Imagination line ''If you truly wish to be'' with it's accompanying trumpets never fails to send chills through my body and a feeling of magic, a sense of timelessness and almost makes me cry everytime. If i have kids of my own one day i can't wait to show the movie to them and hopefully have the same feelings about it as i do.

@Christopher Bingham I’m pretty sure the name was due to legal issues or something like that but overall this version was much better. Just because something isn’t completely true to its original inspiration doesn’t mean it is not good. For instance professor Snape in the Harry Potter books is a much different character than he is in the movies and most people prefer the movie version.
@WYTCPenguin3 жыл бұрын
@@PeytonnotyeP Actually no, it’s because of marketing. Quaker Oats made actual Wonka Bar which caused the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" name change to "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”.
