Last year I surfed down the South Coast until 7:30 at night. 1/2hr after Sunset. I went back down the Beach after getting dry and the Locals were out there until 9:00pm . . . . and the conditions weren't that great. 2ft & onshore. This is also a notoriously Sharky area. Shark attacks are totally random. Why worry?. Live in the NOW!

If you paddle for the wave a little bit further out and take off a little bit later and let the lip of the wave pick you and and push you down the face into your bottom turn you'll be able to grab the rail and pick how high or low you wanna be along the wave either to drop the legs for a barrel or lift them charge the line and hit the lip !

Take off deeper from further out and angle the take off, you will have more speed and find it easier to hold your edge in the barrel. You tend to take off on the shoulder too far in so you fall into the wave, lose speed then slip out.

Willy, I see you’re leaning on your front arm to much, this slows you down. You gotta put your hand in the corner of your nose depending which way you are going (depending on which way you are going, if you are going left you put your left hand on the top left corner of your board. Same goes for your right hand if you are going right). Then you put your hip in the bottom corner of your board (like if you are going left you put your hip on the bottom left corner, and you just simply lean. Same goes for you’re right side to.) My dad was one of the best bodyboarders in the mid 90s, like probably better than mike Stewart. I’m 12 years old and landing ARS’s with ease.
