I'm on my second boxer ownership, and there is no better breed to me. Just simply one in a lifetime breed IMHO! My first was a male, and currently a female. I'm an amputee, and how she is with me is like she was trained professionally, but she wasn't. Between learning herself and what I've taught her... She is priceless. At one time, boxers were ranked in the top three for the smartest breed. I can definitely attest to that with mine. Whether you know this or not, but boxers were officially the first breed to work for the police depabefore shepards were. Research it. I have read and researched so much on boxers that I know a lot about them and it's not just hear say either. Know the difference. Great WIN WILMA!! Keep going.

I was lucky enough to experience childhood with a male boxer , we named him “ Spatz” ....best dog i ever had by far, they are great companions, and will do whatever you ask of them with enthusiasm.... my only con with the breed is that you might lose them at around age 8,910...not longest lifespan for their size

I miss my Boxer too, mine didn't die, someone thought we weren't taking care of her, they didn't believe my Dad, we couldn't afford to pay for the expensive private vets of their choice, we could have still had her, so she supposedly went to a Senior Dog Sanctuary in our state, se we don't know if she's still there, fostered or adopted. The Boxer here looks like she likes that one part

The dogs are judge by how close they represent the breed by their physical characteristics which are criteria through the AKC. So one breed will be isolated into their own and usually the best of their own breed go onto the Westmister where all the breeds compete in their own category.(Working, Sporting, Herding, etc.) Then the best from all categories compete for Best in Show. It's really tough to decide Best of Show seeing how the dogs are already best of their breed and category. I think abit of bias may come into play when choosing a winner.

Compare that to more socially acceptable desexing. You're removing more, removing entire organs, vital organs keep that in mind, and healing takes months if they do heal fully. Yes, it would be worse, crybaby Euro. I think natural ears and tails on traditionally cropped/docked breeds don't look nice. They look sharper and more regal with cropped ears; they have a nicer outline with a docked tail.

Maybe the owner is circumcised. Seriously get over yourself. Do you go up to women with babies and chastise them if they have their sons circumcised? Or yell at parents for putting braces on kids or piercing their daughters ears? None of those are necessary for survival either. But they make life easier. Wilma is in better condition and taken better care of than 99% of dogs out there. Take your cruelty cries and shove em where that stick is.

If an adult chooses to be circumcised, fair enough, but a child has no choice in the matter, just like the poor dogs who have their ears cropped for so-called cosmetic reasons (even though boxer dogs with floppy ears are adorable).

Just because you deem braces in your ok category does not mean its not a good analogy. As a male who was both circumcised as a baby and wore braces, I can tell you with authority it is not abuse. I have no recollection of the circumcision and I am thankful everyday my parents put braces on me cause I had some effed up teeth. Get over yourself and stop trying to turn cropping/docking into something it isn’t.

The ears and tail weren't cut off. They were cropped and docked. People can own cropped and docked dogs are still love them plenty. It's an elective procedure. Just like dew claw removal or spaying and neutering. The difference? Crop/dock is less invasive, heals faster, and is done and a select time.

Cropped ears are from from mutilation when you look at real mutilation and how cropping is done. The judge doesn't judge the ears, they judge the whole and, but when it comes to ears they're judging the ear set, function, size, and weight.

It's not completely forbidden. It's still available by several vets to approved dogs, whether it be preventitive or treatment. And it's not a good thing in the long term. We see dogs being denied importation or entry into the country, denied housing, being given up, and a huge uptick in people doing it themselves and not doing it correctly.

Boxers were bred to be versatile and utilitarian working dogs. They still fulfill that purpose today. You can find them service, therapy, and esa work, SAR, sports, etc.
