Take a walk around influential Wilmslow.
Starting on the High Street, up Water Lane past the Aston Martin Garage, down Hawthorn St, Albert Rd and looping back round along Alderley Rd.
Wilmslow is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England, 11 mi (18 km) south of Manchester. The population was 24,497 at the 2011 Census.
Wilmslow is well known, like Alderley Edge, for having many famous residents, notably footballers, stars of Coronation Street and rich Lancastrian businessmen. The town is part of the so-called Cheshire Golden Triangle in the northwest together with Alderley Edge and Prestbury.

Born and bead wilmslow 1962. Now in East Devon. Happy. Worked at Gilbert's Sports (chilli banana) on this video back in 1983. Better times. No conflict do to speak.

Has much changed since you were last there?

@scenicrouteyt I was last there about 4 years ago, just after the pandemic restrictions were lifted. Very different yes. I was shocked to see how many cars were parked on the roads making two way traffic very challenging. Also cars parked on Knutsford Road at the King's Arms pub. I can only assume the town parking is too expensive or limited to those who arrive early or there are just too many cars on the road. Enjoyed my time there (27 years) but much prefer Devon.

There’s a few fancy boutiques dotted around, as well as a Patek Philippe & Rolex. But yeah for the main high street area it is the same as most places

there are literally dozens of independent shops, what are you on about? Of course there are the usual chains but there are plenty of other options as well.
