Loved Kingpin's origin explained in the 90's Spider-Man animated series. His father left him behind and he decided to ethier rot or learn which he chose plan B by doin his time, erasing his criminal background, etc and that meant loose ends by sending his father to prison which by that time, he'll most likely die in.
