I am hearing a fair amount of over hang and a thickness or slowness to the midrange and a discontinuity between the bass and midrange driver.. But I would need a good symphonic or Operatic recording to really judge - and I would need to be there in a chair. HA! - Sandy, The Old as Dirt Boston Audiophile.

I find the new soft dome tweeters to be too reticent. Prefer the previous focal inverted dome tweeters even if they were a tad harsh & brash.

Obviously, SS is one of the rare who is not lazy to try something different. In most cases you see Wilson paired with D'Agostino or Spectral - but here is something with AR. In my opinion, better than both previously mentioned, at least over the you tube. It is a fun and joy to try it out different set-ups and it is a perk to hear it somehow. Many would say - it's just you tube channel - but I strongly disagree! It is far more better that reading something about the sound. Thank you for casting!

Wilson + ARC is nothing new or different. ARC uses Wilson speakers in their in-house sound room, and they've been a staple pairing at audio shows for 20+ years. Perhaps not quite as much now as in the past but you still see them together. I bought my Watt/Puppy 6's largely based on hearing them with ARC reference gear in the late 90's.

My comment was mostly because of predominant trend in contemporary hi fi world which brought us to hear a gear exclusively based upon impoters gamma which is based upon groupation brands which are then protected by contracts. Online purchases closed many hifi shops and there are less amd less places when you can hear different gear matched together. Where else you can hear B&W matched with AR or MacIntosh? It was always Rotel or Classe... and you know where I'm going... So, for me it is a wonderfull and breave to so unusual systems in today's hifi conjuction...

i was just listening to some Wolf Von Langa speakers, and stumble across this Wilson Sasha video . wow what a HUEG Difference between the two !!. the wolf von blows the wilson out of the water.. if you asked me. i find the wilson sound very stuffy.

It's so funny how people are reviewing the sound from a youtube video. The fact is that his intention is to show all of you guys the gear (speakers, amps, cables, etc.), but not how it sounds simply because it's not possible. You can't tell from this video how good the impact of the bass is or how crisp and smooth the mids and tweeters section really performs. But one thing is 100% sure- this is a really great video recorded in 4K UHD with great sound to give us as a viewer the best possible look and feeling of a very beautiful high end system. This alone really makes me want to give them a try one day! Gorgeous hi-fi!

I like this set up. I have an ARC Ref6SE preamp, but passed on the 160 amps. Too slow and not enough bass grip for these speakers.
