I hate the recurring dirt and sand type particles embedded in the factory carpet when clients fail to have carpet mats and rubber mats over those to prevent this. You are correct on you can vacuum all day and night and never get it! Great review!

I was on the fence between this and the aqua pro....I just bought a Chief 75 Steamer once hot with that I decided to go with the Aqua Pro. It's smaller, easier to move around and seems to have worked well for the past year for Luke and Detail Groove is still using his and seems to be very happy with it.

Just saved and ordered mine it's a 10 week wait and mytee said people have been waiting 8 months for parts due to pandemic so if your machine breaks were screwed I'm down with mytee but there stuff is kinda over price and there are extractor machines on Amazon that work just as good for 350 and if a machine breaks a new one is 350 and not 350 for a part 8 months out I bought mine because I always wanted to try one but I can say for sure my company's ability won't rely on mytee just because there are no parts and the equipment is expensive.

Good video . I own one of these and it’s a nice tool .I don’t use it as much as I thought I would . The steamer is already out and ready and in most cases it can get the job done without the hassle of dragging this big baby out. Also there should be a drain hose that connects to the back of the extractor so the dirty water doesn’t get all over you and the machine .

Quick question: Did you notice while spraying the water....it gets everywhere?!?!?! Although I love my 8070, I don't like that about the handle. If only they made the handle to have "sides" so it would block the water from spraying out to the extreme left and right. Would like your thoughts on that if you could.

great video wilson. love the real time of the upholstery and carpet cleaning. i have question regarding interior cleaning. when using APC for interior, do you rinse or wet towel wipe afterward to get the residue of the APC from the interior? Most APC are alkaline based hence i was thinking u might need to neutralize the chemical back or this is a non issue. i just might be overthinking it. the extractor helps because it spray water to rinse it back. what if u dont have one

I really like my 8070 as well and a tip that works well for me is in the really hard to reach spots with the extractor i use the ibrid nano with the nylon brush before i use the extractor to get those spots before and i spray them with the extractor and use pressure to try and pull as much out and dry it more with a microfiber afterwards. Also I prefer the Adams polishes carpet and upholstery cleaner as it does not leave it really soapy. Great video keep up the good work

Wilson Auto Detailing if you want to improve your extraction - opt for the Mytee Dry 8400 DX, it has a flow control valve, no trigger, just flow control, you can adjust accordingly depending on how soiled the seats are. IMO, too much water is not a good thing when cleaning any upholstery. Especially if they are incredibly soiled, you may experience what’s called “wicking”

@jimmyjimmy7240
@jimmyjimmy7240 5 жыл бұрын
Ooo . . . Brother. For that price you could have gotten something better. I think that's the go to auto detailing extractor because it's industry standard expected but it's sub par comparably. Edit: Mytee is great and so is this . . . spot cleaner he's using 😅. The results will not leave you disappointed, there are simply "better" options. (Better is "always" subjective 😅.)
@rickmarsh8199
@rickmarsh8199 5 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Roo what brand of extractor would you recommend?
@jimmyjimmy7240
@jimmyjimmy7240 5 жыл бұрын
@@rickmarsh8199 Don't get me wrong, Mytee is great. Ninja, Prospector, Sandia, Jaguar. So I've never been a proponent of "more is (inherently) better." If you're going to spend $1,400 on a first time machine then I wouldn't tell you to buy a $3,000 machine that's twice the price and twice as good. This Mytee is good. But if you're going to spend $1,400 just go ahead and spend $1,800 if there's an option, which there is. Jaguar Cub I think (50lbs, bigger water tank, more PSI I think 3x as much, about the same CFM and lift I think) just a way better machine that you could also use in houses. Houses may not matter to you but the fact that it's that much more versatile says a lot. The Mytee 8070 or whatever the name is - is a spot cleaner, which makes sense for car detailing. Sandia: Sniper I think it's called, around $1,500. There are always options with or without heat; don't be distracted by heat, it's a great tool and get it if you can, but water lift, CFM, PSI, and good chemicals will get you further than heat. But again, get heat if you can. You can also buy external heaters; it's a bit more work I suppose, but a better extractor plus a heating unit for just a few hundred bucks more will impress your clients a lot more. I have a residential/commercial cleaning company on top of the detailing, detailing I'm not an expert by any means, but carpet I am. I think in the detailing world you're probably going to search "best car detailing extractor". You'll get results that companies want you to get. The car detailing extractors tend to be glorified spot cleaners and are a bit more compact to fit in your coup, you can practically wear them like backpacks. If you get the Mytee you won't be disappointed but you also won't know what you're missing if you had just done a bit more research and spent another couple hundred bucks. A lot of this also might be overkill, it's reasonable arguement to make, but again . . . Few hundred bucks more; overkill isn't so bad and you'll have it for more projects. Even if you'll only use it on your house, friends, family, etc. You can literally do professional carpet cleaning in your home where that little Mytee would struggle with a living room furniture set. I usually don't have opinions of car detailing videos because I'm learning as I go, Luke is one of my gurus. Carpets though, I'm familiar with. Hope this long ass response helps. 😅

@@ayileenenga9670 Listen, don't count this machine out, it may be all you need but I think if you HAVE the extra money (not twice as much!), then you have maybe 2-3 other options. These machines I mentioned are also a tad bit bigger. Something to consider if you have a small vehicle. I have a coup hatchback, I put my back seats down and I've got plenty of space for my extractor, pressure washer, vacuum, steamer, and all my other chemicals, brushes, rags, et al.

There's still detergent left in that carpet. When the carpet dries, it's going to leave an obvious white residue stain and it's going to harden the fibers. I would suggest spending time rinsing the fibers better or not using as much detergent.
@jimmyjimmy7240
@jimmyjimmy7240 5 жыл бұрын
That's not necessarily true. It depends on the detergent and the heat and water lift are decent enough to get a lot of that out.
@AllAmericanGuy01
@AllAmericanGuy01 5 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyjimmy7240 In the video, he didn't get all of the detergent out. You can clearly see the suds left behind. It doesn't matter what detergent is used, what the temperature of the water is or how much suction the vacuum has, if suds are left in the carpet, it WILL harden the fibers and leave a sticky stain in the carpet. The only way to prevent this is to completely rinse the detergent out of the carpet.
@jimmyjimmy7240
@jimmyjimmy7240 5 жыл бұрын
@@AllAmericanGuy01 I mostly agree with you, man. You should certainly try to extract as much out as possible especially if there are actual suds. However, generally having some detergent in carpet doesn't mean it will necessarily leave a residue. Some formulas prevent that and again if it's not that much detergent it won't cause an issue. I honestly didn't see the suds, I was listening to the video while working. I'm a home carpet cleaner, so aside from car carpets in particular I know a great deal about carpets in general; there is most likely always going to be something left behind . . . shouldn't be suds though. 😅 but for the sake of general carpet conversation I'll take your word for it, I'm not going to watch the whole video to hunt the sudsy section.

Good video but you might want to chill with the water, hot water extraction is great but not when you flood the area like you are doing, that machine doesn't have enough suction to pull all of it out - which can and will lead to molding issues in the foam of the car seats. You should dry brush and vacuum, then spray a cleaner (I enjoy Ammo NYC's products), agitate, 1-2 wet passes with the extractor and 2-3 dry passes (unless you buy a more powerful machine).

High alkaline cleaners are great for stain removal but it also attracts more dirt once cleaned. I like to use designated carpet and upholstery cleaners myself. Pros use APC’s because they need to be cost effective.

It is not suede, it's velour. Additionally......there are ways to get the worked in dirt out before you extract it.

You, and many others, are making the mistake of not doing a dry pass of extraction first. You're not supposed to saturate the area with water until you've extracted out the cleaner first.

His Aqua pro extractor could of done just as good and is a quarter of the cost. honestly that extractor was not impressive at all especially for the price. Hec you could put steaming hot water in the aqua pro and have the same results.

Probably his videos... it makes all the difference but who has the time to set up three cameras and edit videos. One car would take 4 hours to detail just the inside. That said I bet he only does 1-2 car a day. More money made from the videos. KZbin money is good. I've tried to do videos for my carpet cleaning business but they don't come out well because I don't have 800 dollar cameras and the time to do editing.
