Assark Trail Camera: amzn.to/4dcDnl1
Checking the footage on my trail cameras. One of them is on my coast forest land, the other is at the ranch. I got video of a cougar, elk, bear, blacktail deer, coyotes, fox, turkeys. And of course, a lot of videos of cows. But I didn't include most of the cow videos. Something attacked the camera at the ranch. Not only attacked it, it also slobbered all over the strap. We will find out what animal attacked the trail camera.

Gorgeous land…..Here in Maine the Moose and whitetail curiously sniff the cams, the coyotes run away scared and the bears tear them down. Swap out my sd cards every few weeks….. footage is always entertaining. Cheers 🥃

Love your videos. In particular, I appreciate your approach to lumber milling videos. Too many youtubers many spend way too much time showing sawing. I like the way you do it. And thanks for the trail cam shots. Always good. As to Madrone, I had a large one fall in my backyard (north of Seattle). Let it sit for about 5 years and then got it slabbed up. Stacked and stickered the slabs and then put ratchet straps on the ends of each stack. Four years later the slabs are all pretty straight though there is a fair amount of splitting. I've been resawing it down to 1/2" or so stuff for small boxes and other things. Seems pretty stable once you get past the split parts. For what it's work, it turned a greyish color though with a clear finish it looks pretty good.

Outstanding! You have some healthy looking critters there. I've had bears remove/damage cameras, wood peckers drum on them and a squirrel chew through a case. Never had any issues with cattle except vanity - thousands of pictures of them camping out in front of the cameras... Was it just the tag end of the strap that piqued his/her/thems curiosity?

A couple of those toothy critters could be a problem. What do you do for protection when you don't have your chain daw making noise.
@BernieKnapp-h3n

Why do you need protection, from what an elk,deer, or possum? You don't need a gun everywhere you go.

Attacks around here by any of these animals are so rare, protection would be more likely needed in urban areas where two legged animals are.

Wow, I really like those tines of that adult bull at 1:45 . Always interesting to see how some new tines grow in in specific places. Makes me wish I could see more actually old bulls and their mighty antlers. They look amazing the more tines they grow with age. The nature you showed around the time of the snake was REALLY impressive. Picturesque! Makes me wish I could go there someday with a camera.

Judging by the antler conformation on that big bull elk*, I'm guessing that the Wilson Forest Lands are located in northern CA. A fair percentage of older Roosevelt elk up on Vancouver Island tend to develop such basket crowns on their antlers too. Quite impressive property and wildlife you have there! * If it's not giving too much away, do you mind saying if the elk in your video is a Roosevelt or a Tule?

Hello Michael! I've been enjoying your videos for awhile now. I have been looking for 2 years to find some Southern Oregon coastal forest land to retire and build a cabin on. Mostly looking on internet real-estate sites and not having much luck seeing anything in the 10-40 acres range. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Regards, Tim

I dont want to be that guy, but those bull elk are still young men. Yeah, they're big, but I'd bet no older than 7-8 years old. Their racks get much bigger than that. Still good watching, and nothing to mess with. And thats pretty funny. That was some commitment to shenanigans by that cow. Thanks Wilson.
