Love the venom boxset it’s awesome. The Hammer box sets look interesting, being in my 50’s I was brought up watching Hammer horror films here in the UK during the 70’s. I used to scare myself before bedtime 😁

I watch a lot of collectors and people showing off their film collection and I have done that since the early days of youtube and nobody has ever come close to this guys collection. There used to be a French or Italian woman I can't remember her name but she gave off Elvira mistress of the dark vibes despite the fact she spoke with an accent and wasn't American. But she had an amazing collection but she has vanished or I just can't find her again. But again she had an amazing collection but it didn't come close to this and I think it was back in DVD collecting days maybe early blu-ray

Another awesome pickup video - thanks for sharing! The FA Maniacs sets are superb in every way - have got two myself (so far). I've sort of fallen behind on when those sets are ready for group buy purchases so have missed out on some but, at the same time, I've gotta cut back on my spending, particularly for movies I have no interest in. VENOM, for instance, I have not watched and have no intention of doing so but a year ago I couldn't have resisted buying the Maniacs set since it's so awesome-looking. But enough about me - keep rocking those videos, man.

Yeah those Maniacs make a collection look even more impressive... a couple of their choices I haven't been too keen on (Child 44 is a terrible film), but for me FA always go above and beyond on the design and the quality. I enjoyed my time with Venom so was happy for it to get such awesome treatment. Alien and Aliens are on the horizon too... those will be breathtaking.

Another month..another awesome haul video!! I always get an education watching your videos! I think you will enjoy The Car. This movie absolutely scared the crap out of me as a kid. Now I have a great fondness for this movie. The big movie prop in this movie was built by the legendary George Barris (the creator of the classic sixties batmobile) and is a very cool and menacing design. If you ever want to do a video to showcase certain individual movies...the one I would love to see you showcase is the 1999 Mummy movie. The Book of Ra and The Book of The Dead are some of my all time favorite movie props! Well keep up the good work mate and looking forward to the next video!!

Both the Japanese Alien Quadrilogy head and Matrix Nebuchadnezzar ship are two of my favourites in terms of design - I also adore the Italian From Dusk Till Dawn collection housed in a model of the Titty Twister, just because it took me so long to finally get my hands on one and it's so cool. I regret not buying the Alien head at the time, thought it was too big, but later got a few large heads anyway (Predator, Sonny, Rambo, Terminator, etc). I did buy that Titty Twister when it was released, or, actually, a bit after, it wasn't sold out immediately, and it sat in some sale on Italian Amazon, relatively cheap.

Great video again , I’m trying to complete the indicator series and have all the box sets they have released so far . Annoys me a bit that the box sets are a good price normally 40-50 quid for 4 or 5 movies but individual releases are bout £17 each . Got a few more to get . Great video once again 👍

Yeah that Zavvi exclusive Cap Marvel was definitely on the expensive side but the light up feature is cool and I like how it gives you the option to replace the batteries which is nice. Some light up boxes I've had in the past have been completely sealed and no way to change them.

Hi, yeah huge fan of Night, Dawn and Day... Land screams of studio interference but I quite enjoyed it. Diary and Survival I didn't like too much from memory but I've only seen them once. ESC Distribution in France are supposedly making a Blu Ray bust edition of Dawn but info on that has gone quiet these past few months.

I really liked The Entity, a good horror film. Have you ever seen The Legend Of Hell House? That's cool also. I've got The Thirteen Ghosts the 2001 version. This month I've picked up a few John Hughes films. Weird Science (Arrow Steelbook), 16 Candles (Arrow Slipcover), The Breakfast Club (Criterion Collection). They go nicely with my Ferris Bueller's Day Off (Steelbook & Slipcover).

Hey. No I haven't seen The Legend of Hell House but I did enjoy William Castle's House on Haunted Hill and the Geoffrey Rush remake so if it's anything like them I bet it's great. I really like 13 Ghosts (2001) - I thought the ghost designs were very creepy and I always loved that scene where the guy gets cut in half by the glass door. Sounds like you've picked up some great additions there mate. I've always admired John Hughes movies... something about capturing what it was like being a teenager. I don't think anyone makes movies like him anymore.

It also stars Roddy McDowall from Planet Of The Apes, in fact it was made 5 years after Apes in 1973. Worth picking up for sure. I do like spooky house based horror films.

Thanks Stuart. I spend a lot of time browsing the coming soon pages on webstores from all around the world but most regularly visit the forums on Blu Ray dot com and Hi Def Ninja for stuff I may have missed. Sites like that are great because they're updated by other collectors so if someone finds a special edition, they'll post it on that site with info on price and where to purchase. It can often save lots of leg work trying to find things for yourself. On FB I'm a big fan of the Everything Blu collector's group - lots of great people in there. I'm a member of Movie Collectors by CLZ, a dozen other different DVD/Blu collectors groups, some UHD groups and a few Australian ones too. There's not a day goes by where I'm not online at some point either first thing in the morning, on my lunch break or at night, seeing what's been announced and what might have dropped in the sale. Here in Aussie we're Region 4 for DVDs. Region B for Blus (same as the UK) and there's no region code on 4Ks. I hope this helps. Cheers 👍

He's buying them from various places and countries online. Being in Australia, any US, UK, or European release is an import anyway, so he also buys from Korea, Japan, etc. Some exclusives not by major studios, but enthusiast small companies, like Chinese HDZeta are hard to buy directly, so there are group buys on forums, like MediaPsychos and HiDefNinja, where you sign up and pay in advance for your copy. Some exclusives can be bought online on official websites, like Korean NovaMedia, KimchiDVD. FilmArena has a special system of private collector's numbers that is too long to explain, but most of the editions have such a low quantity that they usually don't reach a free for all sale on their website.

Thanks bud. I guess it all depends on when something gets announced. If it's a limited edition I'll preorder it the moment I see it. If it's just a standard release I won't bother preordering. I'll either pick it up on release or wait for it to drop in the sale. Some editions I've had preordered for over a year... some get announced and then release only a few weeks later so it can be pretty hard to plan so far ahead on certain titles. Happy collecting dude. It's a fair question dude. I'm genuinely familiar with the majority of films I pick up. I either know the work of the director or the actors. I may have previously seen the trailers or read up on the movies first, but there are also those I pick up blindly without knowing anything about them which can be exciting when I discover something that really takes me by surprise. When I'm not at work my life revolves around films and my collection. I studied Film at College and Uni and have a degree in Film and Media. And I've been collecting since I was 10. It's my passion and don't think it will ever change. 👍

I like The Car still, but the supposed 'sequel' is absolutely STUPID! I'll have to check out that Arrow version though. Surprised you liked Batman Returns so. I only saw it when it first came out, and wasn't too impressed. My big fat friend fell asleep in the first 10min, and through all the action scenes. I kept looking at him to see if the explosions and all would wake him, but nope! He woke at the last 5min, and my girlfriend asked him after what he thought of the movie, and honest to God said "Too short, and needed more action..." So it's one I should check out again. Great finds though. That Captain Marvel is really cool!

🤣🤣🤣 Dude that's hilarious. I fall asleep through a lot of movies but I could never doze off through Batman Returns. It's perfect. I watched The Car (1977) last night. James Brolin was great and the car scenes were actually quite menacing - Jaws influenced a lot of movies round that period. I won't be forgetting the sound of that car horn anytime soon.

Yes, there's something about the purity of the characters vs. the evil of the car that I think is the movies staying power. Such a nice little town with personal problems we all can relate to. And then this thing out of nowhere! Still think Duel is the best when it comes to 'evil on the road'. Not sure which has the better horn...? LOL

Thanks for watching John. Typically I just use a cheap multi region player for my US blu rays. It's a Laser branded one from here in Australia. I cost around $90 AUD and it plays pretty much anything you throw at it.

"Oh Wilson" - love it. Yeah such good news. Andy Serkis is great - I wasn't too keen on his Mowgli movie that went to Netflix but I like him and think he'll do a great job on Venom 2. He'll probably mo-cap all of Venom and Carnage's scenes himself 🤣
