Years ago I was bitten by the vise bug and have collected and sold more than 75 vises. Some that I have restored and others I have left the patina alone. I can't say I've ever seen a white bullet refresh. Points for originality and a solid performance on the restoration. Nice job.

Thank you. Your kind words encourage me. This is my first paint job on anything. And ya, I’ve been bit! I have a 1980 1750 mechanics vice I left rat rod and just bought another Wilton 9300 from 1952. The vise affliction is real 😂😂😂 thanks again!

Nice. The copper jars inspire me. So I subbed. Thanks.

4:18 Your going to unnecessarily dent that 'end-cap' if your not careful, set it on its base and clamp it to the bench to work on the jaws. 15:15 I'd put some lube between the vise and the base. 15:29 A thin flat washer would prevent those swivel adjustment nuts from 'chewing' away at the paint. 16:49 Did you 'chase' those jaw threads with a tap? 20:06 "White Thing" yea really? Who paints a vise white? A decision your probably going to regret my friend. Good video though...thumbs up!

I appreciate it. I don’t have any tap tools so no. And I agree I was thinking I needed to lube those areas. I like the white and I’ve already used it and I do not regret buying this vise. I was using a small old Colombian prior and this one is so stout I love it. And I may regret the color but I don’t think so. I’m never precious with things like this however I won’t be hitting it with anything either. I have a big 1750 for that 😂 This new one sits on my bench where I do all my work. Thanks for the help and advice. This is my very first vise effort aside from cleaning and preserving. I’ve never painted anything before.
