Totally right!! When you go into the woods you disconnect to the hurry of the world and you start to reconnect to the circle of the everlasting life and you feel the power of our mother nature and you will feel that we all are a part of this powerful circle. Much love for these honest words!! Greetings from Germany and thanks for the this nice video!!!

Lovely video Sandy, very peaceful and totally agree with your ‘reset’ in nature. Its ‘natural’ for us to be in nature, manmade living is far removed from that! Best wishes Vee
@WiltshireMan
@WiltshireMan 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Vee, hope your keeping well. Yes nature adheres to a completely different rythme than the modern commercial lives most humans live, and sometimes it takes a hard knock to get someone to see this, for me being a "country boy" it was a bit easier I guess.

It is always a treat Sandy to see you and Joe out and about. Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling so well of late and that you are on the up. It is so true what you say about the simple things in life and the ability to be able to appreciate them rather than overlook them. Nature just ''is'', no ego, no judgement - the antidote to modern life. The only time is NOW, always NOW..so true. That was a lovely view from your Lavvu...watching Joe prowling around his lol. The zip is a great addition. Great to see a ''brace'' of Lavvus in their natural habitat 😊Lovely footage of the plough, Big Dipper. All is well in Pigeon Wood. Paul 😊

I loved your bit of philosophy towards the end of the video about resetting. It's similar to my attitude towards gardening, just let it do it's thing. Nature has been gardening for 5 billion years longer than I have, she's totally nailed it! :-) Be here, now.

Agree with the sentiment "the simple things in life are always the best". This goes hand in hand with the piece you did whilst sitting on the fallen tree....... modern terminology describes this as "mindfulness", which I seem to recollect your Son was discussing in one of your older films if you remember. Good to see you both out - cheers.

Thats it yes modern terminology is Mindfulness. But really it is also common sense and the most practical way to think. Takes me away from the madness of modern life:~)

Nice video, thanks as always! Those Lavu buttons are a nightmare especially when your fingers are cold and you've had a few. One of the most terrifying moments of my life was spent frantically trying to undo the buttons of my Lavu at a Steam Rally at 2am in the morning whilst hearing a Steam Roller, stolen and driven by a very drunk teenager, getting closer and closer! Fortunately it veered off at the last minute but I'd have been squashed flat as there was no way to get those buttons undone in time. This focussed me somewhat to find a solution and I found that a non-invasive way to usefully modify the entrance to your Lavu is with ball bungees threaded through the button holes with the balls on the inside, link them all the way down to the ground with the last one secured with a peg which can be just inside the tent. Start from about the third or fourth button down and if done properly this creates a weather and light-proof seal, also can be undone very quickly in the event of rogue steam engines!

Excellent camp out Sandy. I have a laavu. No mods to it yet but I find it a heavy beast to contend with. Having said that, unlikely to blow away in a gust. The quality in you’re photos are amazing, more so when viewed on a 50” screen! It’s interesting what you said at the end of your video. This is something Bill & I are starting to discover. Getting out of the rat run of daily life & returning to our natural habitat. There is definitely a link/connection to our ancient past way of being. Cheers Sandy. Glad your feeling better. Andy
