Great little bike, modern day equivalent of a sturdy little pack pony. I hope it carries you out and about on many adventures to come, helping to lessen the problems with age-related aches and pains. Thank you for taking us with you on another foray about your local lanes, stonking barn. 800 years, eh? The stories it could tell ❤️

E-bikes can be so practical and fun. I've cycled over 2000 miles on mine, commuting and running around. I have a few aches and pains, mine really is a time machine ! Makes me feel like a young lad again ! I've been watching your channel for a few years, Sandy. Both you, Sandy and your friends just prove it can be done. Wishing you well and continued explorations....Grant.

Thanks Charles, I'm doing allright. Did 20 miles today on the Bootzipper 29er which went well, but I do have a constant ache in my right hip and back which gets me down at times. For some reason had a bad episode and 4 nights little sleep but better today. The pain has been on and off for 3 years now but nowhere near bad enough to warrant a hip replacement but that may be something for the future

@@WiltshireMan Hi Sandy. Just read your comment above about a hip replacement. I had my left hip replaced in 2009 (at 52) after 3 years of pain. Dominic Meek (at Ross Hall) told me off as he could have just done a 'resurfacing' if I'd not waited. Just a thought bro😉KTF🙏

@WiltshireMan young fella, I can give you pain relief, this is what you need to do, first you need to find a large jar with a lid, make sure it is clean inside, then you get a bag of pitted prunes you fill the jar up with the prunes and then you fill the jar with gin, you let it soak for 5 days, then after 5 days you eat 4 prunes every night before you goto bed, make sure it is the last thing you put in your mouth before you go to bed, after doing this for 6 nights you will find that all of your pains go away, the chemical reaction between the prunes and the gin are a natural anti inflammatory, it really does work and after a week of taking 4 prunes every night, you will be doing cartwheels in the mornings

We bought one last year for doing stuff around our park! It’s now become invaluable as a tool carrier and a quick way to get around! Modified it a bit but loving the versatility. Only wish would be to change the tyres to a bit knobblier for grassy ground. Also the rhs brake is the rear brake, not the left as in every other bike I’ve ever ridden! Caught me out a time or two!

These ebikes definitely help us old codgers get around and get to places We wouldn't be able to go, especially with our hobby eh buddy! And even a recce is easier on them, allowing us to check out new possible spots, that walking to, to find they aren't suitable and back to scour for another...just becomes easier and quicker to do. It's just one way that technology has actually worked in our favour. Love that ole barn...one at the farm I used to go to was over 400 years old and much smaller than the one you just showed

Looks a great bike Sandy. I've been into ebikes for a number of years now due to a few health issues. Now at 63 i have degenerative disc disease in my spine along with foraminal stenosis. Ebikes have been a real boon to me as i've had to give up normal unassisted bicycles. Thankfully i can still ride my motorcycles as well, although i dont tour anymore. We have to live with the cards we are dealt and adapt our lives to live with the circumstances. I may well be interested in getting a cargo ebike, to add to my current two ebikes, less use of my car is a win all round. Look forward to your next vid, whatever the content i always find them enjoyable.

I wish you the very best on the battle with the degenerative condition that you spoke of at the end there Sandy. I am so sorry to hear that and I hope that you aren't held back too much from it my friend. We all know that with the active outdoor lifestyle that you live, if it is possible to push through in spite of it, not too many better than you at doing such a thing. I can certainly see that a well designed and sturdy e-bike (such as the one that you have shown us) could be very helpful to you in the future. I am impressed with this bike, very impressed. I think it appears to be a step or two above any others that I have so far seen. Thank you for giving us all such a good look at one in action. I think that you will find very good use for it, take care and stay happy. See you on the next one.

Got over six thousand miles on mine now and I still love it three years later, I got the huntsman tyres from Germany and added anti puncture strips inside, expensive but very good deep tread pattern that have barely worn in four thousand miles. Don't get a flat tyre because you can't push it, it's so heavy and the tyres are so soft the alloy rims pound the concrete and crack. I live on the waterfront and use it for fishing pulling my trailer around the prom and in the summer it gets about 40 miles before the range anxiety kicks in, But yes I love this bike it's a keeper and worth a good tyre upgrade👍 not used my car since I got it .

Many thanks indeed and I look forward to seeing more of your Fiido👍👌

Hi Marty, I am enjoying this ebike very much, it's a true work horse:) I did manage 20 miles on my normal pedal powered bike today so I'm pleased about that. Good luck with your knee. I think a lot of my problems started with all the long distance hiking and heavy pack carrying years ago!!

I like the color on that one better than that last one. Both look great. I will be getting something like that this year to cary my fishing gear from spot to spot. At least where I can not get a boat in the water or a place like Peabody WMA where spot jumping on land is easier than boating. I hope you find some relief from your degenerative condition. Maybe there is some vitamins or an exercise like yoga that can help. A little warm weather and sun always turns mine around. Every winter I seem to feel it a little more and pray for the sun to come back. Its always a pleasure watching your videos Sandy. You're always doing something fun or going somewhere I would like to see. Stay well.

There's a lot of fat tired bikes on the market now Jim, they all seem to be much of a muchness when it comes to quality, mostly sharing the same components, they are not bad and generally simple and cheap to keep going. The T1 or the Himiway would perhaps be the one's to look at for "work horse" duty:)

Good cargo bike for you Sandy for your camping trips etc . Your very lucky getting all these free E-bikes to test . I've only got one , i converted my old bike to electric with a rear wheel motor which has me riding a lot more . You be very careful with charging batteries , don't leave them to charge overnight unattended and keep an eye when you do charge them and only charge till full and keep in a cool dry place . A lot of fires are happening with Lithium Ion batteries if you overcharge them and thermal runaway fires are pretty much impossible to put out . Keep on E-biking :-)

I think I’ve seen a couple of KZbinrs use this bike. I have to say it’s very impressive. It will certainly give you a helping hand with all the hot tent camping equipment. The only thing I’d change about it, is to make it a folder. I guess that would limit its carrying capacity if you did though. Colours nice for stealth camping. I’m sorry you have a dodgy hip Sandy. It's a great bike for getting out and about on James, 20 mile radius journeys and there will be enough power for out and back and some exploring too

Not a bad price either. Looks a real useful piece of kit.

Hang in there young fella, old age does not come alone. Looks like it would be quite easy to fix a fish box to the rear of the bike, turning it into a practical load carrier.

Hi Sandy, bike looks really good, I agree about the tires, that tread will top up will muck quick and give no traction. I did note that the hills were nicely flattened, but it was just you on the bike, if you had a bit more kit onboard , you might have had to help out a bit more on them peddles mate. Having said that, it seemed to get you and ya beer home ok bud😄 We are all getting older mate, we all have our woes with health, as wise man once said. When you realise time is moving on, and that you are heading in to the twilight of your years . Don't dwell on what is to come, as this is invertible, look back at your time spent and embrace those memories, and with a clear mind and a full filled heart plan to enjoy every day that come your way! Have a positive out look mate, I'm sure it helps. Hope your condition eases and you keep on doing just what you want too bud. My very best wishes to one and all in the house of the Wiltshire Man. Regards Moose

Thanks Moose, thats wise words mate. Although sometimes life can have it's struggles, I take solice in the fact that it's natures way. Over the years I've hikes and camped and carried heavy loads, worked on a farm in all the weathers and again lifting heavy equipment, so wear and tear is unavoidable. I'm still fit and there's still a lot of living to be done. I try not to worry about things I can't change and I always have a plan for the next adventure:)

Top tip.. use tyre sealant in those tyres of you venture on forest tracks or bridal paths.. worthwhile investment as the tyres are very thin 👍

A nother grate video sandy I'll definitely think about upgrading my 23 year old mountain bike once we move into our new home. my worry is with these electric bikes is the batteries Catching Fire like we see all the other electric vehicles Catching Fire I'd probably end up charging the battery outside for safety. I probably wouldn't store it in the garage when we move either as I wouldn't want it going up in smoke and setting everything else on fire. Well I hope your condition is as slow as possible so you enjoy more comfort. We have all got wear and tear haven't we its 10 years ago from my last motorbike accident I think the surgery that they've done on my elbow has lasted this long but I don't think it will be long before I end up with the prosthetic elbow implant I don't think they can do much for my prolapsed disc and sciatica but I don't want them poking around in my back but I'm hoping to get out and get fit once we have moved so that should help with the back. As I'm not allowed to have my mountain bike at the flat it's been in storage with family for 2 years with my son's. I have been saying to my son I fancy something like a duch bike so I'm not always hunched over as I have to have the seat high because of my long legs its like being hunched over on a racing bike on the mountain bike. All the best Simon

People are making a big thing of the batteries catching fire but if you charge them correctly the risk is extremely small, the main thing is not to over charge them. I charge mine in full view of where I spend most time in the house and as soon as the indicator light turns green then switch off the charger and its then fully and safely charged. Never charge them over night where you may forget to turn the charger off. The battery could become overcharged which in its self will lessen the lifespan of the battery, and at worst this could cause a fire.

Hi Sandy 👋🏻👋🏻. Have to admit the green bike suits you a lot better than the ‘flamingo pink’ one 😄😄. A great review👍👍. Lovely to see Mandy as your ‘assistant’ in this review, hope she gets a bonus in her pay packet this week😃😃. Sorry to hear that you have degenerative disease in your spine and hip, I’m sure you will be careful and try not to aggravate the condition. This little pack horse should help eliminate some of the wear and tear on your body. Take care, stay safe and well. Judy 🇨🇦🇨🇦

Hi Sandy,I understand in your situation carrying loads of gear to wild camp etc,but if we’re not careful do you think we are in danger of making cycling a less fitness pastime relying on the assistance of power, none the less thanks for the video, atb Colin P,👍

Hi Dave, I had an xray about 18 months ago and it was then they told me of the degenerative hip. At first I also felt pain in the groin, but now it's less in the groin but just all round the hip area, not very bad pain just a constant ache thats worse after exercise. Sometimes if I step wrongly I will get a sudden sharp jab of pain which is most unpleasant but fortunately this has only happened twice and both times when I was carrying a heavy load. I hope it will remain stable for a long time but there's no telling I suppose. Doing alright at the moment thankfully
