Hey sis thank you. that Chile takes them headphones every where! He even wears them in the bathroom 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😂 The purple coach tote has some planning stuff in it ….I’ve been using it as a work bag for a few weeks while I carried smaller bags that couldn’t hold my planner or other planning goodies ☺️💜

I love your channel. I love how you mention your sugar levels and A1C. My 16 year old is a diabetic and watches your channel with me to see if you mention it. He will hear me watching your channel and scream out “mom, did she mention her sugar levels?. Did she make any recommendations?.” Maybe one day make a video on how you track your numbers, insulin you take etc . My son would always say “Mom, no one talks about their diabetes.” Since you do he is hooked on your channel and says it’s cool you are also a nurse

Awwwwww so sweet! Thank y’all so much! tell him I said hello & be sure to let him read this response💜. As I’m sure you’ve heard, nurses and doctors make the worse patients. We give advice and 1/2 the time don’t follow that same advice like we’re supposed to smh 🤦🏽‍♀️. I love alot of junk food & ate everything all the time. Including fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, pasta, bread, rice, fast food, cereals & oatmeal, packaged snacks like granola bars & nutragrain bars, chips, and definitely sweets! Especially butter pecan ice cream, Reese’s sticks, goobers, & Girl Scouts cookies (Samoas). I’m a sweet-A-holic to be honest! So it’s really hard for me to behave and cut back on sugar. Well it was until about a month ago. But here’s my story: I was diagnosed with pre diabetes around age 26 & didn’t change anything 🤦🏽‍♀️. Young and dumb! By age 29 I was pregnant with Mali and did NOT have gestational diabetes…I was super happy. But I developed preeclampsia high blood pressure and severe ankle & leg swelling with him. So I was Induced 4wks early at 35.6wks then Diagnosed with official high blood pressure & type 2 diabetes shortly after that. Some days I eat right and most days I don’t….Just being honest. I hate sweating so I’m not much of an exerciser. My A1C’s have ranged anywhere from 7.0% - 10.1%. The 10.1% was probably about a year ago and I started eating better and working out off & on. Got it back down to 7.2% then 7.0% & me and the Dr were so happy. I’m not required by my Dr to check my sugars on a schedule. She only cares about my A1C every 3 months so I only prick myself if I try a new food and or I don’t feel well. I am not & have never been on insulin. I’ve taken Alogliptin for about 7yrs now. Last spring when A1C hit 10.1% my Dr started Amaryl to take together with the Alogliptin. Im also on Norvasc for my high blood pressure. My sugars when I do check them at home, and inside the dr’s office when I go to appointments, used to range from 150-280 depending on how much junk I ate. I’ve tried the vegan diet, failed after 6wks. I love meat and meat foods so I tried all the meat substitutes as a vegan. What I didn’t pay attention to was the high iron count they have. So I went into iron toxicity and it was rough! Multiple near fainting episodes in public 😣. Recently on 4/26 my A1C was back up to 8% and I was mad! So mad at myself I changed everything!! Everything!!! So everything I wrote above about what I used to eat, changed. I am no longer on the standard American diet or eating any of that. I haven’t had sweets deserts cereal chips bread or pasta in a month. I haven’t had fruits or vegetables in 2wks. All diets aren’t for everyone so do your research, especially since your son is a teenager. This is not standard American nursing advice, this is my personal story and goes against standard medicine. I got so upset with my diabetes I went Keto after my 4/26 dr’s visit about a month ago, then 2wks later decided to go full carnivore. So I’ve been on a carnivore diet for 10 days now and my body is loving it! I have never had more energy and seen sugar readings so pretty! Now my fasting sugars range from 85-110. Yesterday pre lunch I got 76! Normal is 70-100 as I’m sure your aware 😊. I’ve never had numbers that gorgeous since I was diagnosed! & I’ve lost 13lbs! It’s wonderful. I planned to keep quiet about my new lifestyle until Ive seen my lab results for everything, not just A1C, and of course see more pro’s & con’s I can share when asked. I’m super excited to see the next set of labs in August. Again thanks so much for y’all’s support & interest in my story. I really hope your son finds the balance he needs to manage his diabetes. I for one am now a firm believer that it’s a disease of the diet and despite what dr’s have led us to believe, it can be reversed.
