Thanks for the upload. This was my first match i watched Untied live. Wimbledon ground shared with Palace @ Selhurst Park. I was only 9 but remember the atmosphere was electric that night. We had standing tickets all i remember is standing on a mound in the corner and not being able to see much as the ground was packed. Great memories from 90s football.

Superb thanks for uploading. What a team the 93/94 team were. A mix of elegance and steel!

Before that Cantona goal, trademark cheat trap, knee and pass from Sparky. What a player he was. Loved him as a kid too.

Probably the finest exhibition from that wonderful ‘94 team

People now talk about tika-taka all the time, but that one/two touch passing, and the injection of pace and one-two with Ince from Irwin before the goal is almost as good as anything you'll see nowadays. The difference was it was passing with purpose, instead of merely starving the opposition of the ball. The current United side should be made to watch these videos from the quality United sides under SAF. There's absolutely no excuse for them not being able to replicate much of the football, but also the will to win and team spirit. As Keane says, forget all this hugging, laughing and joking crap in the modern game, the opposition are your enemy. It's a battlefield! This United side were absolutely focused on winning. Look at the United v Arsenal matches of the late 90s/early 00s. No quarter given whatsoever.

Irwin's goal was a demonstration of the sheer gulf in class between United and Wimbledon. When a left back shows more attacking nous than the entire opposition team, then you know you're way ahead of your opponents.

@@seltaeb3302 why would you compare Keane to that clown Jones? Keane was best player in the league! Better then Zidane and much more important

I saw David Elleray send off Irwin for playing on for an extra second when the ball went slightly out of play. But Vinnie Jones doesn't get a red card for that deliberate hack on Cantona nowhere near the ball, no attempt to get the ball. What a shit ref.

Yeah that was the PL match against Liverpool at Anfield in '99 when Ince of all people scored the equaliser. I remember Alan Hansen said afterwards that the Irwin red card and the penalty given against Blomqvist were two of the worst refereeing decisions he'd ever seen. It's quite funny that despite VAR in the modern day, the inconsistency of decisions is still there, as it was back then. It actually makes it even worse these days, given the technology.
