Great run by Medvedev regardless of the outcome. The game was way closer than it was last year with 52/48% of total points won by Carlos. Daniil has improved his net game and return positioning. Still too much for Daniil to handle given his dips in serve performance. He has to serve much better to have a chance against Carlos and his game style. Nevertheless, he’s still the best of the 90’s generation no doubt. He will hopefully get at least one more slam or two, he’s the one who deserves it more than anyone else.
