Geoff, sorry for the loss. This is exactly what ruined my swimbait experience years ago at a small lake outside Sacramento which may remind you of the Simpsons cartoon. But happy to say i'm back it, in part, because of your efforts, but also my pre-teen son is keen, too. If you haven't already, you should produce a personal documentary, so to speak, on your channel on your travels, interviews, the local and other US lakes you fish, Biwa et al, and toss in some behind the scenes interviews with locals, etc. Would be a massive hit, even if you get skunked, which I doubt.

Man that’s brutal. That hinkle snap off made me cringe. I’ve had a K9 snap off on a giant northern strain 8 trappin- I can only imagine the pain of losing that hinkle

To all the Scopers out there....THIS is fishing...Angler vs Fish....maybe he scopes off camera... who knows...But this video he's using his own skills, talents, and techniques to catch bass...Great video! I'd have to consider him the best big bait guy on you tube...Big bait addiction is freakin' real!

I caught a 7+ one eyed bass off the same spot 3 times one summer. I’ve caught many big ones there including a 10-2.

@@kevinatwell9781they swim damn close to the originals. My buddy has a actually Hinkle And they swam pretty much the same, my ko had a bit of a wider glide because it didn't have any paint or clear coat on it. I just fished it out of the package.

What kind of knot were you using when you broke off the Hinkle Trout on the hook set at the beginning of the video? Were you using a Palomar, Double San Diego, Double Uni or some other kind of knot? Check out the Tornado HH Knot from Sunline. This is the only knot I ever use for swimbait fishing. When tied correctly, It is 100% straight strength. I trust this knot with my life!

its inevitable, you will lose baits. Just keep your head up and your wallet at home . The catches make it all worth it.

Wh.ere i live i catch 22 and 23 even 24 inch bass very regularly,on 4.79 a 20 pack trick type worms on a dropshot.i do own a couple of more expensive glides but catch more numbers and just as big on cheap finesse type worms.
