@@justbenice72 as a Nigerian who lived a lot in Italy '- they are way more welcoming than northern Europe or France. Even too much. Sadly they arent proficient in delinquent extradiction so people who escapes violence in Africa May find there same kind of really unwanted "fellows Countryman". . Also migrants they can access healthcare, houses for low income people, welfare, schools et all. Like everywhere you need to respect their laws and habits . Citizenship is pretty complicated to earn. Unlike US it's not enough being born there. It takes an Italian citizen as parent but you can acquire it . Overall main issue is economy challenges which are for everyone. And this is why, cleverly, they are trying to promote collabs and African economy - avoid tons of migrants. Need to add that migrants are a problem from wherever they come and whatever their skin tone , it's economy not really racism. Christian migrants , especially Catholic , are felt culturally closer. You can meet various African priests in local Catholic churches. Really Southern Europe is way more welcoming to migrants , against all odds, than the US. If US faced those numbers, they would use bombs. But Italy can't provide same money dynamism. If you are skilled and ambitious go to the US. If you are hard working decent person try Italy but mind that it's challenging even for poor Italians.
