Yo honestly people love to hate Sam B but holy fuck at least he shoots. I'm watching overpass radar FC and then when people do shoot it's almost always straight at the keeper. Biggest problem I see is just lack of goal scoring ability. Defense can only hold off for so long when up front produces nothing time and time again.

I say the team was told to be higher up the pitch to play more attacking because they’re a goal down leaving no midfielders to track the midfield runners hence when the attack broke down they kept on getting hit off the break leaving the defence vulnerable and having to defend space. The problem here was the defence actually doing its job but the attacking players being wasteful.

as much as Sam can be frustrating as a player to play with and watch because of how selfish he can be, at least he has the end product to back his game. these current wingers just dwell on the ball to either cut back and produce an awful cross that no one gets to, or passes back to a midfielder/fullback. it's no coincidence that UTR's form has been poor since Sam's departure(?). their lack of goal threat is so apparent, especially with Thomas and Benny upfront, which in my opinion are nowhere near where UTR's levels should be.

Second this, whenever Sam is on the ball he just goes for it no matter what. Yeah he can be selfish and wasteful at times, but at least he makes the efforts matter in the big moments-this was his game today, I was shocked that he wasn't given a chance to turn things around when it was 1-0

Too much fancy football for this level, a bit more directness and aggression and UTR would have won this one. Playing short passes through the midfield just gave Hammersmith a chance to drop back into shape everytime where they knew they would win the physical battle
