Fabulous instrument. Better for the overhaul. My father was ordained a priest here many years ago. So a special memory. Thankyou for posting the spec. too.

@@martinstringer6923 your welcome they have organ tuning this Monday. The front pipes look so bright now and you can just about see the console from the floor.

I wonder what the piece is called at the beginning .. a tuba tune of some kind, from 2.51 there seems to be a variant of it. David Johnson wrote a number of trumpet tunes, but I have not found this on You tube elsewhere yet.

@@NatalieJmedia Thank you very much, I have written to him in the past but did not notice this piece by him, for its simplicity and directness I think it is one of the most effective of tuba tunes along with the Lang and Norman Cocker ones. Probably not being played on Winchester Cathedral though! Many thanks for your video of one of Englands' finest organs, I wonder how near the top of Englands' organs some would place this, though perhaps it is unfair to compare them!

@@masterinsight322 I know what you mean I couldn't rate organs in a top ten especially kings college Westminster Abbey St Paul's cathedral and agree with your comment in my eyes they are all musical gems of the organ world same as the Royal Albert Hall they are fine organs.
