I love everything!! The wonderful organ and the organist, how the instrument sounds, the place and its acoustics, the music of Tchaikovsky and the images of the temple (very beautiful). I've already heard it several times and I'm afraid many more!! Thanks to both of you! ❤

Everything is incredibly beautiful: Jonathan's performance and Tom's video! What a wonderful Church, what a beautiful organ, so beautifully decorated that its pipes resemble colorful candy canes! You have many beautiful Churches and wonderful organs in your Country! Thank you both for another amazing video! ❤❤🥰😍

Spine tingling stuff!! What a way to bring in a new year! Every bit as monumental as a whole orchestral rendition. Jonathan, your transcription is breathtaking! And Tom's filming does it justice. The front pipes resemble rolls of Christmas wrapping paper. The "bar" is certainly set high for the rest of the year! Bring it on!

There is nothing like dancing into the New Year! One of the most beautiful pieces ever written. Delicate and touching melody that ( I think) everyone has knows and one of many reasons why Thaikowsky is one of my favorite composers. And we have a pas de deux of Jonathan's masterful arrangement and playing and Tom's videography and sound! And what beautifully decorated front pipes!

Absolutely beautiful piece and played with such grace! Thanks so much for sharing! And knowing how much Tchaikovsky suffered in his life with homosexuality, it’s so moving to know that he went on creating and I think that out of the 3 ballets (Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker), it’s the Nutcracker that has so much imagination and it captures the idea of winter and freedom in an incredible and magical way! I really hope that this ballet will introduce future people to the joy of music! Many thanks Jonathan and Tom! Please keep up your love of music and a very happy new year to you! 😊❤

What a beautiful transcription! I must confess that before the real theme came in, I thought that it could be the intro to a transcription of “Heart and Soul” (Carmichael). I know that’s absurd, but still…

Beautiful! Thank you, Jonathan. The painted pipes are striking, but seem rather odd set against the surrounding stone.

Seems strange that the organ needed work so many times over a period of so few years. Of course, it is no longer a Willis, the tonal architecture having been altered so many times. It would appear they are turning it into an electronic organs, adding voiced hears only through speakers and not created by wind through real pipes. That is a shame. It seems strange that while there is a choir, it is not under expression.. A but unusual for Willis organs. Beautiful case - stenciled with gold leaf accents. That case is worth many thousands of pounds. Interesting ceiling. It is flat instead of being supported by gothic arches in stone. Wood beams carry the ceiling structure.

@@user-pw3tr1xg2x The Scott brother are famous for arranging and performing transcriptions. Perhaps you already know this. Doesn't it see strange that two brothers, both deeply involved in music should be individually performers on two different instrument with two entirely different techniques of playing. How well they work together all the while Tom is gathering stunning views of the interior and fine points of the buildings in which they are performing.. The last person to do this was Edwin Lamare, also from England but for more famous for his US performances. More than anyone but Virgil Fox. Too bad more organists are not so talented. With rare exceptions most are hacks. The last of the old school in the US died - Fredrick Swann. Well thank YOU for your reply.
