That Chapman set! Used Chapman in the Navy on weapon systems and it always worked!

Love the 5 spoke chrome handle and lock on this. Mine is 3 black ones. I think my inside is nicer (leather trimmed shelves) but this one looks more serious from outside.

There isn’t a power outlet in it, you have to run power to it.

@@James_Edward59 how do you run power? Is there a hole ?
@James_Edward594 жыл бұрын
Trevis Stall yes there a hole in the bottom back of it and it’s up to you if you want to run an extension cord through the hole or actually run an outlet to the inside of it which is what I did on mine however I do electrical in a regular basis and was able to run wire from right behind the safe and into the safe and have it’s own electrical outlet that’s directly powered from my house electrical.

I have the same 26 gun Winchester safe. Thanks for the electrical option information. I'll be following your lead. Isn't utube great for just this sort of thing.

Just got mine. Have to cut down shelve to get it to fit Have to tear back carpet and reglue and staple. Both sides should be open like the left don't understand why you have to slide long guns up thru the hole on the right. Quality control needs to step up.but other than that probably a 7 out of 10 for the price

Running a dehumidifier outside next to it would work just as good. If you are storing your guns in a basement I would not recommend it. Save yourself a lot of headaches and buy battery operated strip light and some two sided tape

J Rod I did it with 3 guys. Worked out
@jimmypickle63434 жыл бұрын
Cut 1.5 in PVC pipe into chunks that fit through doorways and you can move it anywhere. Can use as rollers or as slides to go up slopes with two guys easy.
@jbrlet16812 жыл бұрын
Mine is 24 or 26 gun, doesn’t matter, they all lie. But it’s 360 lbs. I have super soft real wood floors, a moving blanket and that thing slid smoothly into where I wanted it. Door comes off too, just lift up and don’t lose the ball bearings in the bottom of the hinges. Takes off 125 lbs for moving.

Is there access for the power strip or did u have to drill it
@TransAmexpert Жыл бұрын
There is a hole pre drilled through the safe already. All you have to do is drill through the flame retardant plates which is no problem.

LOOKS GOOD! WHERE DOES IT SAY IT'S MADE? SOME ARE CHINA, PORTUGAL, USA...ETC.
@TransAmexpert4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I believe you are correct these ones that I have were outsourced to China. Winchester opened a new factory in Fort Worth, Texas in 2012 so the newer ones should be made in USA. I was looking at some Liberty safes which are very nice and they are stamped Made in USA.

Where you get the light kit

im curious, does your winchester safe have a hole in the back bottom for the dehumidifier cord??

fondoo it has one in the back near the bottom. You still have to drill through all of the fireproofing material but the hole is there in the steel.

Where did you get that belkin surge protector? and how did you hook it up, drill hole bigger to get the plug through the back of the safe?
@TransAmexpert4 жыл бұрын
I found it on Amazon. Behind that is an outlet kit made for safes. So the wire goes though the hole cut in the safe for it already. Then you install the plug end on it. I then put the surge protector on it just for piece of mind running the lights and the Golden Rod is always on. But then I could also put electronic items in the safe as well.

SafeLogic Xtreme is the way to go, to hell with a key pad. I have a higher end Winchester 2500 pounds & does not have a key. Get rid of that electronic lock. Also put a LED light in there that you can leave on that generates some heat to act as a dehumidifier.
@waysmt15 жыл бұрын
Lol seriously??.. the guy has a golden rod and a moisture control pak humidifier.. the only thing he needs to watch is drying out the wood stocks on the firearms. LED lights put off very little heat.
