Born in Winchester, Va.... Raised in Cumberland, Md... and have returned to spend the last 20+ years of my life in Winchester. It is an okay town. It has changed a lot over the last 20 years as the money and politics from NOVA and DC continues to move west. Everything changes, I suppose.

Been here since Dec 06.. was in the Evan's home in 95 when I was 10 and I have lived in every area code in Virginia but one by 16 there is 7 by the way but shout out to the great foster care system in the state of Virginia!! Wow. Moved from DC area to Front Royal in 2001. Still can't find my way around winchester, although I would tell anyone who asked that my three sons, now all near 30, grew up in winchester. So I did a lot of driving. And I know they will all enjoy this video.

Coming out of high school I considered going to Shenandoah University in Winchester, only because they contacted me unexpectedly. They weren't on my radar and I lived in NC. I ended up not going to college at that time, but it felt nice to be wanted. I don't know, if I had actually visited the town at the time, I might have made a different decision. I used to travel over to Winchester in the 1990s as a teenager. It's a great little city- home of Country music legend Patsy Cline. People there seem more real Virginian than elsewhere in NOVA. I remember great BBQ at Cork's street tavern.
