The XPR is an awesome rifle, I have 2 . One is in 6.5 creedmoor and the other is in 350 legend. Both shot cloverleaf groups . The creedmoor shot hornady whitetail ammo and the legend shot 180 grain winchesters. I adjusted the trigger on both to 3 pounds.

I have the cerakoted, camo version of this rifle in .270 Winchester. With federal blue box i got 1.25 inches at 100 yards. It's the cheapest round they make and more than adequate for deer. Shot a buck last year at 120 yards with this rifle. I blew up his heart ,he fell on his nose straight forward, didn't take a step.

Trigger is adjustable, that is the youth model, 1 inch is the standard reduction for youth/compact models, and the Browning AB3 is meant to be a more budget version of this rifle. My 270 is a 1/2 inch gun at 100 yds.

The trigger is adjustable..I've the XPR in .223 and you can adjust it from 3.5 to 3 pounds
@bambikiller7511 ай бұрын
The trigger IS absolutely adjustable. The stock is not great, but I swapped it for a Boyd stock. It can be a little picky with ammo, but if you handload, you got a sweet, reliable setup that are sadly underrated...

I have the XPR glass bedded in a laminated Boyd's stock. Its a great gun. Accuracy is cheap these days durability is expensive.

As a Penns Woods hunter most of my shots at deer were from 10-75yds. With an occasional 150. I was always taught that once the bucks know we are coming in they head to the thickest brush they can find. Usually they do.

Your review of the Winchester Model 70 Extreme would be sweet! The M70 Extreme comes in a few variants: - Hunter Strata MB - Weather MB - True Timber VSX MB - Tungsten MB - Weather SS The stocks are made by Bell and Carlson. These rifles look VERY nice!… traditional meets modern. Cheers!

I have a XPR in 6.5 PRC. The trigger is fantastic and shoots sub moa with Norma, Hornady and Berger ammo. It's got an adjustable trigger and a 24 inch barrel with a muzzle brake. The one I got is in True Timber Strata. I did just order a Boyds At-one stock for it since I couldn't find a chassis for it. I'll be doing another video on it as soon as the stock gets here in about a month. Thanks for the great videos!

You’ve helped me a lot making rifle decisions so I’m asking one more for you or anyone who could provide insight. I want to upgrade my long range deer hunting rifle. I want to get a 6.5 PRC. I am between the Bergara B14 wilderness and the Tikka T3x. Both models are the same price, are threaded and ceracoated. The difference is the tikka is about 7 pounds and the Bergara is 9.5 pounds but the Bergara has an adjustable cheek piece and nicer stock. Note I have 3 Tikkas and am a tikka fan boy. But I have a Bergara B22 and it is the best 22 I own and have been wanting to grab a center fire rifle from them. Please help. I have some time to make this decision but will need some time to work up a load development before hunting season.

@@michaelficarro2591 sorry, I didn’t mean “barrel break-in” moreso, a break-in period of getting used to the rifle and it’s idiosyncrasies. I probably could have worded it better, I just wanted to know if he takes a rifle out of the box, sights it in and shows us his groups or if he takes some time to get used to a new platform to give it a fair shake.

Buy an ATA Turqua in walnut (if you can find one). The most beautiful and deadly accurate rifle for under 800 bucks you will ever buy. I got mine on sale for $550 bucks Cdn. I have 2 of them and they are nail drivers and the best looking budget rifle around. They are same as a Savage 334. Turqua's have fibreoptic sights. Savages won't. These things are amazing.

Hi Mogul! I actually bought one a few weeks ago. About the same price, quite the nice feeling rifle.

First Turkish rifle made for hunting, this company manufactures the Weatherby Orion, not a bad shotgun at all. I purchased the 308 and 6.5 creed in the black adj polymer stock. They advertise they make a 243 however I never see any of these in the American market, these are very robust interesting rifles and having fun shooting them. The 308 shot a .25 sub moa with cheap federal non typical hunting ammo. I honestly could not believe my eyes. That said for the price these rifles are a no brainer. Cheers
@mogulrider Жыл бұрын
@@rockylavigna5977 They are coming out as the Savage 334 now. Without iron sights though. These are great rifles.
@1LonePuma Жыл бұрын
The rifle itself is just okay; however, maybe my .270 Mauser action consistently shoots a pattern of 5 rounds cutting a hole the size less than a Nicole. I suppose having a 26.5" barrel length with a Leupold 3x9 is the reason. I guess I should mention, it's not the lighter shorter barrel, but slightly heavier, but I'm not the guy that shoots my game in the body; it's always just below the ear in the neck...less Messer and easier to clean. 👍 Still looking at the quality of these rifles...I gave mine to my son, as I'm a bit long in the tooth. ☺️

this would be a good hunting rifle. for the price. the 143 eldx rounds are great as a hunting round. which are the best. this is one that is a 3 round year deer gun

I owned an XPR in .308 and it was about a 1.5 MOA rifle. It was easy to shoot, but not nearly the same aftermarket support that Ruger American's or Tikas have. My Model 70 on the other hand is kinda epic.

1.3= 13" at 1,000 not great but....? 8" for a Deer 2moa would be 400 yards but it's disappointing that it won't shoot better, the old mil surp isn't really better and weighs more but I wouldn't want to pay good money for that either. I guess the Olin group bought Winchester and Browning has something going on with Winchester, plus FN Herstal supposedly builds (Owns?) both of those rifles now. Lots of talk but not the same Winchester. Thank Palosi and Shumer.

Why can't rifle designers ever get the stock right. That low comb only belongs on a rifle if it has open sights. Scoped rifles gota have a high comb. I'm so tired of this ! It's ridiculous they still can't get it right hardly ever. Pretty sad in my opinion
