Excellent idea! The ratchet strap also works as strap with variable length. Wich makes this setup mucho more versatile!

I like the idea, chains are nice, but oh so heavy, the straps seem to work good as long as you get heavy duty ones. Do you think u could have used a dead weight on yellow strap just en case it snapped

Hi-lift works as dead weight. And on the car end I use soft shackles.

Well if nothing else you have angered the couch recovery kiddos in the comments😂😂, looks good if that’s all you had and were stuck👍 when you are stuck you just wanna get out.or I do

I was with ya, until the ratchet strap, not safe

Not a hi lift brand jack and why are you using single ply ratchet strap to hand winch with? The ratchet strap is maybe only rated for 2,000lbs but the stuck weight of your rig is about 3,000lbs so you are operating “your” system well into the breaking strength of the ratchet strap and not at the “working load limit” of properly rated equipment

This ratchet strap should handle 5000lbs. And car is not hanging on it - if something breaks then it will fall back a few inches back into the mud.

@@henrykgWrong. That synthetic ratchet strap under load can shoot back with more force than you can imagine.

@@user-vx7vi3vq1c With hi-lift you will not generate enough force. But it is a good idea to put ratchet in the middle and use an additional cord to protect it using advantage of double strap.

I just think if your going to the trouble of carrying gear around then carry the appropriate gear and do the job right.

😮 seriously, I think you need to reconsider your safety and the safety of others who are watching your video. The list is long of unsafe practices. Refer to the manufacturer instructions, of all these components, sling, Hi-lift, ratchet… I’ll be using this video for training on what not to do. Cheers.
